I live in south central Pa (Lancaster) and was wondering if anyone else in the area could reccomend me to a good bodyshop. I dont want to go to Macco and the local Pontiac dealer wants $7029! for a repaint. The body is in good shop except that the last owner had it repainted by someone who loved orange peel!

I had mine painted at Evans Body Shop in Akron PA. Turned out pretty good.

I hear Vision VW here in Reading will do a good job. They use Sickens brand paint, which is very durable. Thats what mine is, but it was painted in Indiana.

I would agree to the quality of Rockcrawl's bothers work. Not sure of his price but the paint work looks great.

My brother painted mine and a few others on the forum. His work is as good as you can afford it to be. I don't think he would do an entire car for under $2000.

I have seen his work also and can atest to its quality. i am a painter also so i know what i am looking at. And 2000-3000 dollars is about the right price for a quality paint job. I am not sure why that dealership quoted you the 8000 dollars price. Thats jus someone that doesn't want you business.

This hood was painted by Rockcrawls brother. I have had many cars pained including other pannels on this same car and his color match and quality was BY FAR superior to what was done at the dealers.
