I bought a gold 2M4 new off a dealer lot in Miami in 1986. Before that I was driving a Plymouth Champ, not what you would call a "chick magnet" Got married in 88, my daughter was born in 89. The Fiero was not a good family car, so I sold it for a price I don't care to admit. Cut to 2003 I decided I waned another Fiero so I started restoring a 88 coupe. Hope to get it out of the paint shop on Friday.

I am an original owner of a 1985 2M6. The car was shipped to Canada and returned to Ohio due to a shortage of Fieros here. I had the pick of 30 Fieros. A rear deck was swaped from a GT because I wanted a wing over the luggage rack. This was an additional charge of $90, oh those were the days. My car recieved T tops, 16" comp TA Radials, Quarter panel scoops, Peguses Enginering ground FX, dash mounted glove box and Herb Adams sway bars before 1990. The car was a daily driver for the first 3 years and was wrecked in 1987. I hit a van in the side when he pulled out in front of me. I hit him at 45 mph and still drove the car home after I bent the steering wheel away from the dash. It did not even break the radiator but it did tear the front body panels up. I use to show it often but got burned out on shows. I still hit one or two a year and can still win an award. the car is still clean, the floor pan is clean an waxed under the car not an easy thing to do in Ohio.

I may not be the original owner of Lil Dukie, but I know that I am the second. My dad bought it new on 03/01/89. I believe that it was built in the last month of production in 1988. He sold it to me on 06/15/92 with only 27,083 miles, so it has always been in the family. It now has 71,000 miles and has been my faithful daily driver for 11 years. We just picked up another 88 this year. It's a yellow t-top coupe with 114,000 miles (for the wife). We have been working hard to bring it back into shape. (also picked up 6 wrecked Fiero's as a package deal and have big plans for a couple of them). I always wanted to build up a hot rod or restore a muscle car but now that the wife (Big Red) is into Fiero's too, I'm going to ride this thing for all that it is worth.
By the way, I checked the "search function" for your old posts to see if you are a new Fiero owner or just new to the forum & didn't find any background info. My advice is to run as fast & as far as you can while you still have your sanity! ------------------

This question has been asked in the past. That is what the search function is for.
Way to welcome a new member to the Forum! I'm sure he got a warm, fuzzy feeling from your response.
Unfortunately, some of us have not been a member as long as you have and achieved your number of posts.
We "Newbies" sometimes lurk for awhile, and need to get up the courage to make our very first introductory post. Not everyone is familiar with all of the functions of "Cliff's" Forum (as in the Search Function you pointed out).
Besides, what's wrong with a little dejavu? What fault could be found with bringing up an old topic to the table for discussion? I mean, paint jobs, wheels, engine swaps, etc. are frequently reintroduced. Isn't that part of what keeps the forum going?
I've said my peace and appreciate the fact that I, as well as you, can state my opinion. I just like to play well with others.
BTW, just out of curiosity, how tall are you?

I originally owned a Red 84 coupe purchaced new. It was my daily driver, put 100k miles on it.
I traded it in for a Red 85 V6 SE 4 sp. Put about 100k on it also.
Now, finally the 87. I heard Pontiac was going to create a Blue color for the Fiero. I went to the dealer and ordered it and bought it in late 86. Funny thing was the dealer did not even have an example of the color. We didn't even know it was a metallic blue.
When the dealer called & told me it had arrived, I drove down in time to watch them remove it from the trailer. The driver moved it onto the lot, where the salesmen & service guys came over to get a closer look. It was the first blue Fiero delivered to this dealer. (he told me it was one of the first one delivered in the three state area, don't know about that, he may have been "BS'ing" me) I made my way over and said, EXCUSE ME !!, could I please take a look at my new car ?
It was funny, they moved and formed into two lines, as I was walking past, I felt like royalty !! lol I fell in love with it. At that point, I knew it was going to be a keeper!
To this day, it only has 1760 miles !
