Ahh, more fodder, um, I mean, another Fiero enthusiast!
The only NC Fiero club I know of is Tarheel Fieros. We're a loosely organized club that covers a lot of NC. We have members in Winston-Salem, Hickory, Greensboro, Raleigh, etc. Our meetings move from city to city to allow more people to attend. We don't have a set meeting schedule either. We'll just send out an email and post on here when the next meeting will be.
Bob Englert keeps our mailing list. His email address is in the memberlist here. Shoot him an email and ask him to add you to our email list.
Speaking of which, isn't it about time we had another Tarheel Fiero meeting? We had the Hickory meet last week, but I've yet to hear from anyone who went or see any pics. Anyone interested in another Raleigh or Greensboro meeting any time soon?
I've tried to make it to the past two with no luck. One in Raleigh or Greensboro might mean I can make it Maybe greensboro so it would be easier to get to from blowing rock.

Yeah, once I get new tires on my car and get it inspected, I'd be ready to let it out of the garage again... seems like it's Raleigh's turn on the general rotation.

You need to talk to Jack Cooke, he is a forum member. He was just talking about forming a club in western N.C. He lives in Hickory.

The only thing that'll stop me from going to a show within reasonable distance(greensboro is reasonable) is money, and if I can afford the gas.

Well, Ray, here's hoping you can make some meetings, then. Are there many Fiero enthusiasts around Rockingham? If so, spread the word and get them interested, too. Rockingham is out of the way, if there's only 1 person there - so start recruiting!
Maybe an NC Fiero race night at The Rock would be good this summer? One of the test and tune or maybe a grudge match night? Seems like a waste to drive to Rockingham and NOT race.

Would love to see some Fieros come down to the The Rock (Rockingham Dragway), I'm working on something now for a 'event' at the track. I'll keep ya updated.

razor, welcome to the group. Boone/Blowing rock is the best! i went to App, my wife went to App, and we make it to Boone at least a dozen times a year.
haveing taken the GT up there last fall, i will go ahead and warn you... you will enjoy driving the mountain roads (at legal speed limits and observing caution at all time), but you will hate having the thing serviced. the timing was off on my car, and i took it to every place that was open on a game day... none of them would even touch it.
so, take some tech school class's so you understand mechanic's and enjoy.
also, be VERY carefull on 221 and shul's mill road! and NO gravel!

I agree that its time for a meeting in Raleigh. I'm also interested in how many Fiero nuts there are in Charlotte. I just graduated and the company I work for now is wanting me to move there Aug 1st. I guess I'd be closer to the SC and GA Fiero clubs and could make more of their meetings. Hey Jake, what's keeping that coupe from running now? John, I'd really like to see your new seats, and its been a while since I've been able to make a meeting. I say we meet in Raleigh soon!

Right now I dont know of any board members living in Charlotte, I only occasionally see 2 other GT's (black and white) and a handfull of notchbacks running around. Mine is the only Red GT that I know of in Charlotte.
FieroMG, where are you going to be working in Charlotte? The fiero is up and driving now, I have tags and insurance. But I don't think it'll pass inspection until I get the E-brake and the turn signal stalk working. I also want to find working headlight motors, instead of leaving them up all the time. I believe I've fixed just about everything else on the car mechanically. Needs some body work (read modifications), and paint sooner or later but mechanics are first.
Hoop, you going to have the 3.4 up in time for a meeting?
Formula88, did you ever decide on an engine? Or is that going to wait a bit longer?
Anyways with my work schedule theres no telling if i could make a meeting, but I'll try.

Well, I went house hunting today and looked at some nice new ones south of Concord near highway 49. In the next few months, my office will be moving from Uptown Charlotte to somewhere further north. I saw a lot of nice homes with a one car garage, but I really would like to spend a little extra to have two.....we'll see. Jake: if you need any help, let me know.
