Ok I have an 88 coupe with a 2.8 slightly modified with a fast back clip Aero bumpers and effects, raised spoiler (horrible quality stantion lift BTW), 1/4 scoops with little windows on the way, 17" spilt 5 star Enkei's, corvette lights, and...... I want rear quarter scoops but can't make up my mind for which kind to get. I have 4 choices, there is AUSFieros stage 2's that are awesome but require molding onto the door, Aus stage 3's which are awesome and easy to install but I have to align the ground effects and drill to install, or the full scoops that replace the ground effects all together from Archie or Ebay, or the rear scoops that are the most basic (like AusFieros stage 2's without the extra door piece.

What should I do????? Should I just leave it stock and save money or do it while I have it all apart. Which ones should i get????? I am leaning towards AUSfieros stage 3's cause they are new and less people have em.

rebuilt 2.8 transplanted into 88 coupe, poly dogbone, poly suspension, rebuilt suspension, customized interior, ported ex manifolds, MSD coil, short shifter, converting to GT, K&N filter, 17" Enkies, underdrive pulley, more to come.

Be original and make your own. That is what I am going to do. I want to make a small snap on one of my own design. I might work on it this Winter when I find time.

I have no glassing skills man. I grinded the hell out of my vette light housing the other day to get it to fit. But even though it fits, it is a horrible fit. Whoever made them needs to be ***** slapped. I'll snap a pic as soon as it gets sunny out. The pass side is to tall in the middle by the lock (where I needed to grind), and the far right side is way to short. There is about 3/4 inch space between the rear clip and the light housing maybe even a whole inch. YUCK!

But my point is I have no patience at working with fiberglass and will do it only if I have to, but I won't start a project. I still have pieces of fiber stuck in my arms.

So whats your opinion? I think I might go with the regular scoops or the stage 3's. The others require too much work. I have already spent a year working on my car, I want to drive the damn thing.

Drive the car and save the scoops for latter down the road. Im 10 months behind from where I wanted to be with my car, so now Im just driving it and enjoying it. I have a ton of other stuff I want to do but it can wait. Now Im just going to do some minor detailing and see about getting it painted.

Ahhh you touched upon a good point! I want to paint the car ASAP for summer. Right now its 3 different colors and will be 4 once I get the turbo 1/4 scoops. So I want to be done with the body before I do any painting. BTW I just bought some of those silver indiglo gauges off ebay. I can't wait.

I just finished making my own...I cut 3 edges of the scoop out and scored on the back of the 4th cut. I scored it again on the other side and bent it to the shape I wanted, then I glassed over it and used body putty to get it smooth. That way, you can get the look you want, and no one else will have one!
