I need to replace a couple of brake hoses, and was thinking about buying the braided stainless steel ones. Are these available other than from the Fiero Store? Where do you recommend I buy them?

And here's the question of the day...any place you can buy a set of two--front wheels? I really don't want to replace them all around right now.

Also, what's a good price on a decent used trunk carpet for an 84 coupe? Anybody got one for sale? I might be interested.

Thanks!

OK... where to start?

SS Braided Brake Lines- you can order them cheaper than the Fiero Store through places like Summit... but you'll only save a couple of bucks, and I'd have to say that FS shipped out my SS lines immediately last year (they arrived within 3 days of having placed the order).

Wheels- you want two replacement front wheels? Pretty much any store can & will sell you as few or as many wheels as you'd like... but wouldn't it look awfully strange having only 2 nice wheels up front? Or did you mean tires? Same thing though... I've done just 2-tire replacements on quite a few cars lately (specifically the rears on my GT ).

Decent used trunk carpet? I'd check with 2M4Dale or call around to places like Kick Hill, Twin Lakes Fiero, or The Fiero Factory...

Ooops...guess that was incredibly unclear! LOL. What I meant was can you buy just a set of two of the braided stainless hoses. I need to replace the fronts, and would just leave the rear hoses alone for now. I've only seen them in sets of 4.

Thanks MinnGreen...I'll check on summit for the hoses too before ordering.

Yeah... that was a touch confusing

I know you can order individual quantities from Summit (and maybe Jegs), but you'd have to check with FS to see what they do. I know that in the past they've sent 4-fronts upon request for those who have modified rear suspensions (like a wide-track kit).

BTW: to order from Summit, you may need to know the length needed... which I don't know offhand otherwise I'd let you know!

While you are at it why not replace all four hoses with braided SS hose. They are far superior to the stock hoses. When doing the front you'll also need a set of strap hangars to keep the front lines out of the way and from contacting the front tire. Use hangars that leave room for the hose to move a bit. Those SS hoses are not quite as flexible as the OEM hoses and can kink far easier.
