Has anyone ever thought about making a Impala-esque tail light assembly for the fiero GTs? If I had the photoshop talent, I would try the look out... hint.. hint..
Are you referring to the newer Chevy Impalas? Like this:
There are already a few suppliers out there making Ferrari/Corvette style taillight assemblies which utilize 4 round taillights... but the panel they're mounted in is made from fiberglass and just painted body color.
This is thill's car- taillight assembly by PISA (but he bonded and filled them together).
Pretty much... I knew about the ferrari/corvette conversions. But I was thinking that the clear cover over the lights like the impala would look good. But now that I think about the pisa light assembly already looks really good.
I am going to use '64 Chevy round tail lights. I plan to use a hole saw to drill out 8 holes, 3 stop/turn lights and a backup light on eash of the two tail light lenses on my coupe.I'll mount the lenses from the inside so that the round portion sticks out of the stock lens. Then I'll painmt the stock lens to match the car.

LOL... I see who's rear end you thought of first.. j/k
Actually, your car was the 1st photo I ran across, but figured that a bit more a "stock" vehicle was in order.
For those interested, the above photo is a PISA assembly which has been modified, but there are multiple vendors from whom you can get these. I'm specifically thinking of Bob @ Twin Lakes Fiero: http://localline2.com/~fierobob/ (I don't believe that they are listed on his site yet- so call him if you're interested) who sells them as a one-piece assembly. Or as Smooooth mentioned, Pat Kalsmith aka The Fibersmith also sells them in the "split pair" (at a rather attractive price I might add).
Yeah, I mean for the fastback GTs. I'm still not sure that specific lighting would fit, but just the style of it created for the fiero. I think I'm going to take a tape measure into the parking lot and start measuring .
