unfortunatly the paint used was not sooo good and loved to run as soon as it hit the intake. That problem did get fixed and now it has a better shade of blue.

soo far the engine is just being a usual fussy beast of a 2.8 (well 3.0)

the list of stuff done to it is:
comp cams 260H cam and timing set
bored out 60 over
forged pistons
moly rings
1.6 roller tip rockers
balanced and blue printed
msd digital 6 ingnition
soon to add NOS
and every part in the damn thing is new, minus crank and rods

The paint technique is called marbleing, not runs.

yea I know that it looks green in the pictures but in person they are actually blue, they are going to be ripped off again and sent to be anodized blue. But the money is a big factor right now so it will have to wait a little longer so I guess I will have to live with "green" for a little while longer

well I fired up the car tonight and it rumbled the house like a small block, so it may not look as nice as I was planning but it sure sounds pretty. I am hopeing for at least low 14 sec down the 1/4 mile before I hit the NOS.

next step is the lowering springs, poly suspension bushings, rims, hood scoop, front facia,Headers and of course a custom mandrel bent exhaust system with 40 series Flowmaster.

this car has turned into somewhat of an obsession for me, so far there is over $7,000 invested and plan for at least another $10,000. now I just have to work my ass off to pay for it all.

well like I said the intake and the valve covers are getting anodized blue (when I have the money) cause I am not happy at all about how that paint came out and as for the .060 over I wanted to go 40 but there were no pistons avail and none were expected to come avail so I decided to go with the last set of 60 over forged pistons that there was. Had to get them outta Kentucky.

Well i think you needed to primer those things before you painted. FYI paint and bare aluminum dont mix outher wise the green might not have looked that bad. I had my covers down to bare aluminum too and tried to paint them with a adnoized paint. UGH it looked ugly so repainted them with engine paint and polished the hell out of the fins. look great now. I like the blue hoses looks awsome on the black engine.

well the spare intake and valve covers are going in on the 15th to get anodized, found a guy that is going to do them for $70 CAD which seems like a awsome deal. He just isn't sure that the anodizing is going to work on them so it might even end up just getting powder coated, which is still WAY better than it is now. I will Post pics once the new intake and valve covers get put on the engine.

Well if it turns out nice, I might have your guy do some in red for me. I am not sure exactly what anodized looks like. But I like the factory red stuff for me. I have painted my air box and other stuff in my engine bay red to match it all, even went with MSD red wires, MSD red coil and MSD Red Ignition Box. I really really like the RED. Red to Bed, Red to Race, Red is just plain nice. Red Red Red Red Red, we like Red.
