friend of mine took his coil over kit for the fronts off and they are RCC kit with the tublar control arms and such he said he would sell um to me for 500$ they only have bout 3k miles on them. should i get them and what does everyone that has them think of them he said he took them off cause they ride rough, isnt that just a coil over shock/spring problem?

If the shocks are adjustable just get softer springs and adjust the shocks accordingly and it shouldn't be much rougher than stock (except for the poly bushings).

Well I don't have them, but I would say yeah change the springs...and adjust the shocks (like said above)... and if you decide not to take em let me know cuz I would like to have a set..(oh and ask him if thats cool.. if you pass)

also you might want to know if they are the 3way adjustable shocks or the 12 way ones because that just affords that much more adjustability...

good luck..

If you do a search on my user name and RCC I'm sure that you will find plenty of info. Don't forget to look in the archive sections too. But here's the bottom line; expect about a 3" front suspension travel at the most, as in total travel from compression to extension. If you have the complete RCC front suspension there are NO bumpstops, it's either the springs or the shocks that "bottom out". But after you set it up right and you're careful to avoid the road hazards, then it's really worth it, IMHO.

I think Wade87gt said it pretty well. I have RCC all the way aroung on my 88, they make a good product, just be prepared to avoid pot holes at all costs. When you lower any Fiero 2.5 inches or more the bumb stops have to be trimmed, or taken out. Holes become hell, and watch out for your camber also. I will be going with drop spindles for the front because my camber and suspension geometry is to sensitive now. Any speed over 60 and the car becomes to unstable. I have been told by Held Motorsports this is because the car is so low now my suspension is off. Drop spindles will help that. just something to think about. My car is about a 3' drop up front.

OutlawFiero, I'm not sure of the difference between RCC's 88 and the "other" suspension kits but my car is extremely stable up into the 3 digit speeds. I've got their entire kit except the bump-steer thing. I also have the big red sway bars front and rear. Something to consider, a proper 4 wheel alignment and zero suspension jacking is an absolute necessity.
