I know someone that has a early 80's caddy. Rear wheel drive, only has around 50k original miles on it, the Transmission won't shift into reverse. Any idea what motor might be in it?

Its definintly not a 4.9. It may be a 4.1 (weak) If its rear wheeled I think it may be a caddy 400(or something like that)

The engine vin code is "B".

If it is a 1991-95 fwd caddy and the 8th digit in the vin is a B than it should be a 4.9
