Ok I was driving home last night and my car suddenly died. I wasn’t able it start it back up again. The engine just wouldn’t spark. I have it towed to a shop late lest night so that they can look at it today. I am thinking that it is just some simple electrical problem.
The guy calls me back around noon and asks me if I am sitting down. He tells me that the computer system is completely melted and looks like marshmallows. He says that the whole computer system and wires need to be replaced. He also stated that it looks like it pulled in to much juice and caught fire. However he has no idea why it did this and has no way to test right now in its current condition. He then says that he can get a new ECM and PROM but can’t get the connectors for it.
What am I gonna do? Anyone know where I can get the connectors for this thing. It is an 84.
