My car has a salvage title, it was hit in 87. They owner had the rear clip replaced and I'm not sure but it seems something may be missing. In these pics you can see where I'm trial fitting my exhaust( still clamped while I'm wigglin it around). But the trunk is visible from the rear and the recesses where the tips protrude look different from most others I'v seen here in your guys pics. Is this the right rear clip on this car or is there a piece missing.

Normally an 85GT would have this style of rear facia, it does have the aero trim pieces and doesn't have the black bumber "pads". Also the correct one would have cutouts on both sides for your exhaust tips.
BTW - I just borrowed this image from the gallery

In this pic of yours that I edited slightly, you can see where the aero trim abruptly stops when it reaches that bumper. On the correct one it would go all the way around. The one that you have now will functionaly work, but may look odd because of that.
I hope we have answered your question.

Well I guess that's just one more thing that makes mine one of a kind. I'll just have to find a way to capitalize on that point. Interesting how many mixed and matched Fieros I've seen. Thanks for the info.
So the rear fascia would be everything below the taillights ? And since you say I would need the energy absorber I assume you mean the structural honeycomb behing the fascia is different for the GT? I'm also betting kick farm would be my next stop, right?

Looks like you're also going to need the inner wheelwell liners.
I'm borrowing Tweek's modified photo. If you look at the inner edge of the ground effects at the front of the wheelwell, you'll see a mounting hole. Your wheelwell liners should cover all but the finished edge of the ground effects. I'm guessing that when they replaced the rear fascia, they also replaced the wheelwell liners with coupe style ones. That would explain why the ones you have now aren't covering up the area that they should be. The area BEHIND the wheel is different on the GT fascia...the ground effects continue on on this piece, and it's wider than the coupe fascia. The GT wheelwell liners wouldn't fit the coupe fascia without cutting...but because they're not covering what they should be in the front of the wheelwell, I'm betting you've got two coupe liners on there. Better call KickHill back up, and tell him to also ship you two rear wheelwell liners to match the GT fascia...

Actually the wheel well liners fit fine and do cover the edges of the side ground effects. They just happen to be out of the car in that photo as I was in the middle of the V8 swap.

Yes, but do they fit the rear of the wheelwells fine, too? If so, I'm betting they've been cut down...as this area is different on the GT fascia as opposed to the coupe fascia you have on there now. I show different wheel well liners for the aero body as opposed to the coupe body in my 22P.
