It's also got a later model hood on it. Hood as in deck lid/engine cover. Is that Fire sticker on the bottom of the hood? I don't know that any 84 Fieros would have had fire warning stickers on them since it was the 84s that had the fire problem.

Who can tell anymore the way we swap parts around on everything! haha Good looking car though.

My 84 has that fire warning sticker. It seems like it came with the recall notice. I have the envelope the recall notice came in and it was in there.

Recall work was so 'IFFY'.. Everyone was done differently from what I have seen. I have never even seen a car with a fire sticker on it.

I think that you are right, but I don't think the sticker is the key, the 84 decklids had the vents in the denter of the lid by the windo and solid panels on the side, this looks to the the opposite..

That would be right I just now noticed that. The vents are dead center.

Assuming that the VIN has allready been checked and confirmed that it is an actual Indy Fiero, it would appear then that this Indy has been thru a lot of changes. Especially as you stated and we can see that the rocker panels were taken off and or swapped with regular ones, had the deck lid swapped with a later model, some panels were replaced and or painted, smaller non Indy fader red stripe was added or replaced, etc, etc.
With all the recent people we have seen taking non Indy Fieros and putting Indy interiors in them, putting Indy badges, stripes and decals on them and so forth, you just can't go by looks alone much anymore.
It looks however as though you won't need to do much to get that Fiero ready for some shows this year
Nice buy.
When you get that baby on the road, we should cruise our two Indy's together, maybe to a few shows?
