I was at my friend's hobby shop to pick up a model kit, and while I was waiting for him to get off the phone, I looked through a bin of old matchbox/hotwheels cars. To my amazement, I found a red Fiero! it has opening doors and trunk, black interior, and I assume it's an '84 since it has the 84 decklid.

I was thinking of detailing it to like-new condition, but I was wondering how rare this particular one is? It's in decent shape, but a little rough.

Great find, even if it's not rare.

Most of the time cleaning up, repainting toys decrease the value of the toy. Much like the big cars. A low milage all original 88 GT should be worth more than a restored 88 GT. The value is very subjective as to what someone else is willling to pay for it.

It's a Road Champs Fiero (I can just barely read the bottom, it says some other stuff I can't make out other than 'made in china').

I took a couple pics with the VERY poor quality digital camera (not bad for $10, though).
