Something like the dukes of hazard car, Weld the doors shut totally, put the panels on and such, and fill it over with Fiberglass patching stuff. Then have a custom remote control/wireless controller built so you can have the windows go up and down, and jump in through the window ala: The General Lee? Of course you might have problems later on like pulling the seats out if need be, but other than some minor set backs, how about that? You could also possibly put more cross bracing in, and have it welded to the frame, and built the panel over, and of course do something like a custom 4th Generation Firebird door panels...
Surprisingly, I thought about this before. I was thinking.. You take out the Passenger seat. weld the door closed, smooth it in. Then you tint all your windows. Next, you build some crazy wrap around dash. The pass. side would house 2 12" subs, a 27" flat screen tv, X box (or your choice) DVD player, DSP, PA system, controller for you hydrolics (underneath the side dash would be the pumps) Molded in laptop computer to control car functions such as Engine management, trunk release, windows, stereo, horn, etc (not that you have to use the notebook, but you'd have the ability to) I mean, yea u'd lose the ability to carry a passenger, but think of all the cool stuff!!

It's a cool Idea if you never want to do interior work on your car ever again. I think Doors stood the test of time and I'll stick with them, however, if there would be a better way to get in (if the car had t-tops and they were off it would be soo easy) I think that idea would be cool
I think the worst idea would be to do that on a 84 Fiero with about 140 000Km on it with no Service recalls done...that would be a death trap

I really tried to just close my eyes, cover my ears, and walk away, but I just CAN'T!!!!!!!
Ok, let's say this car is a show car, all practicality is thrown to the wind for the sake of making people stop and stare...
Instead if crawling through the window, why not make the roof (minus the windshield) a rearward tilting clamshell thingy?!?!? The windshield would stay put and the clamshell would break free just behind it. It would be hinged behind the rear glass, and the side windows would be permanently attached to it. To keep cool in the summer, pop the sunroof, turn the a/c on full blast, leave the entire clamshell at home, or any combination of the three that floats your boat.
The belt line (trim) would be the lower edge of the clamshell. That means the part of the door that is above it would be part of the 'shell. Mold the bottom section of the doors to the fenders and lower rear quarter sections, and change the lines slightly on top to allow the shell to open and close cleanly.
I would photochop it but it's too late. Told you I should have kept on moving

probaly be great for making my convertible stiffer, or especially if someone cut their top off and wasn't going to make a top for it. think i'll pass though.
hahah that is the worst idea ever but since we're on the topic, how welding the decklid and hood shut too, and filling in the crack for the pop up lights... when it gets dark you could just hold a flashlight out of that crack in the roof you used to get in

actually, you may be on to something there... just take it a step further!
bull molds off of the windshield, side window's and rear glass (plus the sunroof or t-top glass) and make carbon fiber replica's. in addition to welding the doors shut, replace ALL the glass with the CF and make sure no light penetrates the car.
now this is where it gets better! you get Hillary's Alien Lover (Gog (i think) to loan you his pocket demoleculizer/remoleculizer and use it to transport yourself (or anyone of your choosing)into your now totally sealed CF Fiero!
that way you can come and go anytime you please without having to use that there old fashioned door.
