I think You owe me a big thanks and an apology!!!!!
Never doubt the strong willed and the right backing!!!
I appreciate everything you have done Ron, but I don't see what I did to you to apologize, I was just as upset as you were in this matter. We both know it is something minor but still should be taken care of for us that attended. I don't know if I got my plaque yet or not, I am not in Wichita, and won't know for a few days. I never got my magazine either so I am not sure. I guess I will find out when I get home to Kansas in a few days. Thanks for all that you have done but please to put me down like I did something to make me owe you an apology. See ya.

I too am grateful for what you have done. I did not even know that there were dash plaques from the Osage Beach event until you raised the issue.
When they posted on the FOCOA website that the plaques would come with the magazines, that did not help me because I'm not a member and I don't get their magazines.
Does this mean it will come to me directly in my mail, or will you get them and distribute them to the rest of us?

Chuck, I AM a member...and I get the magazine...and I didn't get a "dash plaque/magnet" in the magazine, either...
Not that it really matters. Ron, we now know you got YOURS...how and when will the rest of us get OURS? I can't thank you for something I don't have...
It sounds like they nevery had them made in the first place, and then when people called them on it, they went out and had a set made!!
If you attended the show, Gloria announced that their vendor for the plaques told them a few days before the show that he couldn't do the job. Hence they were not available at the show. Like no one else on the forum has had any problem whatsoever with a vendor stiffing them for a part or service.
There was a signup sheet at the registration table to insure you would get your plaque.
FOCOA had to get a different vendor to make the plaques to send out.

I hope everyone keeps this in mind before making their reservations for the FOCOA Nationals in Las Vegas this year. Yup, sometimes stuff happens. But with FOCOA, it seems to happen with all too much regularity. Just my opinion, though.

As Gomer would say..."surprise, surprise, surprise!" My dash plaque/refrigerator magnet showed up in the mail today. No explanation, etc. Just put in a plastic sleeve, and shoved in an envelope.
Edited: Thanks Ron.. And Archie...for some damn reason, it wouldn't stick to my car! So, I stuck it on the fridge..

I was quite shocked to recieve mine the other day as well. Same thing- sleeved & in an envelope... but mine also contained a scrap of paper with nothing on it? Wierd.
Anyway- mine will likely hang out either on the fridge or on a toolbox in the garage!
