contrary to popular belief my engine wasnt blown, and is now in 100% operating condition. When I fixed the cracked head something must of gone wrong when installing the intake gaskets, and I had a coolant leak that was both leaking into the crankcase and into the intake ports. I replaced the gaskets today, and changed the oil again, and now its all good. These engines are freaking amazing. I had a 297 degree overheat, and nothing happened. 3000 miles later, and the day of my 11.63 pass I cracked an exhaust port, and it cost me $180 to fix. Now its all good again, and Im ready to take on all who challenges. V8 boys put your money where your mouth is, spring is on its way.

ditto, glad you got it working. 25K in one year is crazy mileage. maybe you should get like a Geo Metro or something like that to beat around in and spare X from all that torture anyways, good luck!

So did the overheat crack the head? If not, why did it crack? Hopefully that's all it was. Glad you got it running again, but I'd keep a close eye on it for a while. Engines don't like it when oil and water mix.

Glad to hear it's okay, X. I wouldn't wish a blown engine on anyone. I do find it interesting that you were hiding out in the O/T section for your technical info from the group about the milky oil; and now that it's fixed you are back here in "General Discussion" talking about running 10's again. Next time at least have the balls to post in the Tech section, please.

i would need to use my trailer. i would like to make a weekend thing of it, i got a family. its hard to get my wife, 2.6 kids, beer, ect, all in the fiero. whats the big deal about a trailer anyway? you can tow yours on a trailer, i dont mind. you know just as well as anyone things break. it would suck for either one of us to break down 5 hours away from home. its your call!

Its not all about the 1/4 mile to me. Im proud to say my car has never been on a trailer and every time I race it, I drove it to the track. Cars that come to the track on trailers are called race cars. My car is a street car, a daily driven street car at that. I dont race "race cars", I race "street cars". Id actually rather race at the Texas motorplex at Ennis. I could drive down there and get 30 mpg doing it. Thats a bit closer to home for you, and its alot nicer than anything you can find in Oklahoma.

So what do you have a "race" car or a "street" car.

lets stay with what you started:

"Now its all good again, and Im ready to take on all who challenges. V8 boys put your money where your mouth is, spring is on its way."
my car is licensed, inspected, insured and driven on the streets. i have 5 cars so the fiero is not my dailey driver. mostly on weekends. so to answer your question- it is a streeet car.
i am not trying to start any penis contest, i have always thought that "x's" car is kick ass. i feel that his car and my car would make a great race. he said he would challange any-one and made a reference to v8's. his orginal post said nothing about gas mileage or driving to the track. i just want to put my money were my mouth is. i have read many of threads that all he does is 1/4 race. i have seen a few of his vid clips of 1/4 mile, and some of his time slips. now its quote "not all about 1/4 mile to me". i am just confused, maybe cause i have started my new (burp) years a 2:30 this afternoon.
o.k. lets just do this:
run what you brung
heads up 1/4
ennis tx
$500.00
and in the end, me and x will be best friends and he will come and help revin put in his 3800sc.

Ryan, don't back out now. If you do, you will look like you will not accept the challange.

Here's your chance, Cardealer has made a very generous and FREINDLY wager.

Go for it.

Didn't you actually want to tow your car to TO the other month?

Come on, X what's up ? I don't have my shiit together but he does so why are you crawfishing out of a race ? You want to know his setup, well "run what ya' brung" means just that. You are running 11's which is pretty impressive, but why all the BS ?
I commend cardealer for checking you on your mouth. I would, but as you know I blew my shiit and am getting it together. If this happens, I will be there and I will want to see your car in person. This is all in fun but "put your money where your mouth is". We can all have a beer afterwards. I mean come on....don't you have $500 dollars lying around like the rest of us ?

nachtzehrer6--------"jackasses"????????
you cant tell me that this is not a better thread than "pics of riced fieros" can you?
when you have a fiero that can hang with a car like "x's" you can call me an "jackasses", untill then your words are not needed in this thread.

fierofiend ---- no one is b!tching about about who is better. if you want to, you can join the fun and bring your car and your $500, but i doubt "we" will be the ones
b!ching then.
when this is over i will want to put a 3800sc in my car and x will want to put a sbc in his. well maybe not!?
whew, i better stop for the night before i get my drunk arse whooped.
The "SPRING FLING"
cardealer vs. x
not just a race, but a show of what can be done with a couple of fieros

I don't need any sort of car to determine who is a jackass. Cliff has put alot of work into this forum and it all goes down the tube when FieroXlax, CrazyDeb, and 80's Boy George start their chest thumping. I could give a crap who has the faster car, if a SBC has "that rumble", and if these nimrods will ever get their cars running or not. This f'n topic comes up from the same f'n three guys every f'n week blah blah blah blah.

Hmmm, you guys..... Who wants to get in on the betting on the forum. $15 on either side, also bet on the times. I could be a bookie. Anyhow, nothing against you at all X, but I really admire your car so much, but if I was a bettin' man, I would have to go with cardealer.

But hey, they are both Fieros, so who cares who wins. I don't.
