It was installed in my company car by some install place that refused to give us the install instructions or box, they even removed the name tag from the remote.

whoa, that looks like mine! Mines is called "pursuit" or something like that. It was installed by some guy at an Acura dealership that installs alarms in his personal time.
My remot stopped working though. the only thing that works is if you hold the button "II" down, the trunk opens.

Aznfiero: Take the remote apart and clean the circuit board. The buttons tend to "rub off" on the board and prevent the circuit from being completed. I've done it with i few remotes and its a day and night difference. Sorry i have no idea what brand that is.

Ugh.. The infamous "generic remote"... I've seen car alarms, remote unlockers, and starters with that remote.. They put an alarm + Lojack in when I bought a '98 Eclipse, and the remote looked exactly like that. I asked what it was and they said "A guy in California makes them for us."... I think a company makes the case and everyone just buys it and sticks their stuff in it. Might get lucky and it'll say on the circuit board inside.. Or if you can find the "brain" for the starter, it *should* say on that... Good luck!

you can use the FCC Id that should be printed on the back somewhere to look up some information on it.... here is the FCC search page.. http://www.fcc.gov/oet/fccid/
hope that helps

Steve, It looks like a Directed Electronics (Viper Brand)remote. Can you get a clearer picture? If it is, I have just about every owners and install manual from models made between 1992 and 1998.
Let me know.

WOW!! That is a VERY cool site! I never knew that you could look up the FCC ID and find out who has the ID... Very interesting.. I looked up a few things, my Dodge Neon's remote doesn't come up with anything, but a Crimestopper remote worked.. Came up with the reciever and transmitter.. Wow! UPDATE: OH MY GAAAWD!!! You can look up the SCHEMATICS for a device on that page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOAAAAAH!!!! I almost wet myself when I saw that!!!! Yes, I am a nerd. lol I now have the schematics for my Crimestopper car starter remote... COOOOOL

Thanks for the help guys, I'll have to get some time and dig around under the dash and see if I can come up with something. Do want to dig around in the FCC site, thanks Darius.
Fred, when I find out what type it is I'll PM you to see if you have the right manual, the unit was installed in a '95 Ford Crown Vic just last year, thanks.
