Ran across this on ebay today. 79 miles on the car and all but has cracked this, broken this, faded that, and stolen this. This car is a joke, I can't believe people are actually bidding on it. What is the point? Probably left out side for over 14 years. Here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1873782394
I believe the miles and condition. Where I went to college, we had a 99 corvette that had about 150 miles on it. Most of the miles were from us taking it over to the cafe` for lunch. The reason we got it was because it was broken into on the new car lot, and the dealer couldnt sell it as a new car. It had a targa top and that was broken, the interior was torn up very bad. BUt ran nice.
However, it never would have been able to receive a title because it was donated to the school. Laws may be different from Florida.
The car may or may not have that kind of milage, but how much is it worth half destroyed anyway? Anyone looking for a low milage Fiero is probably looking for a low milage mint Fiero. Not a clunker. Thats assuming you believe the odometer is telling the truth. If its never been titled, it would be hard to verify that the odometer wasn't rolled back or replaced. Sounds like a great Fiero to stay clear of!

The ad states that it was donated to the school by GM, much like that yellow GT found in WV not too long ago. If that is the case then you will never get a title for it and it is very much illegal for this guy to sell it. Even if it were in pristine condition I wouldn't want to buy it......GM could conceivably confiscate it from you with no compensation.
Anyways, since it was in a school for the past 15 or so years, it wasn't necessarily well cared for. This would explain the missing interior pieces and the damaged body panels too.
What I think is funny is how he compares this Fiero to another on listed on eBay that sold for $14,400. Even if that coupe was immaculate it would NEVER be worth $14K. To me it's just another non-running coupe with a busted up body.......not worth more than $500.

well numbber one with a seller name like "hampsternipples" I would never buy anything from him. Another is the whole donated issue. If the car was in fact donated there is no legal way to title it. He says "just bring yoiur info to DMV and get your title" Sounds like a big time scam to me. he should be shot

Hmm it doesnt have the sticker that GM puts on a car when they donate it. The GM sticker is suppose to say "Dontaed By General Motors, unlawful to title, license or drive"
On each car donated by GM it has to have this sticker on it. Gm donates quite a bit of cars actually. Mainly ones that have been damaged and cannot sell like flood damge or something. In out shop class be have a Cavalier that a beam fell on so prt of the roof is bent it and the hood is slightly damaged, a Cadillac thats been in a flood, and Oldsmobile that im not sure what happened to and a Camaro Z28 that something hit it and cracked the fender and shattered the windshield. I noticed that Ford barely donates cars wonder if they just repair any damage and sell them to unsuspecting consumers.

I went to college to learn how to work on Fords. All the shop time was at the local vo-tech. They had several donated ford cars there. A brand new ranger 4x4 flood damage, a brand new lincoln mark 8 flood damage, an escort, a mustang, a festiva. kinda neat, the engine block in the ranger was broken into several pieces after the water in it froze. This was back in 95 or 96. Whewn we had the blizzard.....

Entirely possible. Chrysler does - about 10 years ago there was a huge story on the news about them repairing damaged vehicles and selling them as brand new. Involved mainly the St. Louis minivan plant if I remember right.
