Where else can I find an excellent suggestion like using oven cleaner to degrease my cradle. Thanks, Archie. The $1.29 oven cleaner worked better than the $4.00 Castroil degreaser. I'm going to send another $5.00. Seems like everytime somebody gets excellent expert advice for free they should put something back in the pot. Besides, I don't want to be the miser on the donor list.

OK, WE need a little input from our current & future Supporters Group members.
Within the next few days, I'm sure we will have the funds to buy 4 Banners. I've exchanged EMails with Cliff & he suggests we buy one banner and have it run for 4 months (we can continue that longer as more donations come in) rather than buy 4 30 day banners. Does this sound ok?
Also he suggests the banner link to a web page with all member names that made a donation, perhaps with a picture of themselves and/or their Fiero, together with a little resumé. As I said earlier I need to keep this simple and because I don't know the 1st. thing about doing a web page, I had figured on just linking back to this thread. I like the web page idea but I don't have time to learn how to do that. So the Question is, What do you guys (& gals) suggest?
Please respond ASAP, as I would like to get this banner up quickly.

I'll make the web page and put it up on my server.
I also want to thank everybody for their support. I do have mixed feelings about accepting donations, but hey, if that's what people want, that's what people want.

I agree with Dave.

Okay! The PFF Supporters Group just bought its first banner!
Right now, the banner points to this thread, but I will be creating a special PSG page soon. Every contributor will get some room to show a few pics and tell a few things about his/her Fiero and/or him/herself!
Give me a few days to create this page. As you may know, I'm going on vacation next monday and I need to do a lot of stuff before my vacation.
Hey Archie, Are you set up to take donations via Paypal?? Let me know. If not, Chester and I will send a donation in with the $$ for the parts he is getting from you. Thanks!

I won't be mailing out Reciepts, the weekly publication of the financial statement of the fund will be your rec't.
At the present time, I don't take PayPal & as I said before "I'm not going to setup a seperate bank account just for this. Besides I already take Credit Cards as part of the business, so PayPal would be redundant.
I hope this helps.
Archie
Keep it simple for me, write a check, buy a stamp.

Make this on going, even if no one sends in a while. I literally dont have a dollar to spend right now (18, looking for a job, just out of school, and have to replace my balljoint) but as soon as I can I will send money out. I have allready saved a lot of money due to this site so I have no problem giving back.

Um .. is it just me, or is this kinda self-defeating? Cliff is having a bandwidth crunch, so to alleviate that he's going to make ANOTHER page with pictures and stuff on it to support the people who are sending in money to help with Cliff's bandwidth problems. Plus, like the guy's not busy enough already, he's going to make the page and keep it updated! Cliff - yer a great guy, but can we find someone else to do this and take a load off YOUR server and YOUR time? I'm willing to host the page/s if someone else will build 'em..although my server can be kinda slow at peak times. I don't think we'll be hit TOO hard though, will we? Maybe 30-60 total people donating? Maybe someone else has a heavier amount of available bandwidth on THEIR server?
Or maybe I'm all wet and out of line here. I just hate to see Cliff making his work load and server load bigger. Seems like he does all the work anyhow...

At the very least, this message will bump this topic back to the head again!

I agree. For 15 (canadian) a year you can register a .com... Then host that .com for free on tripod.com and by redirecting through the .com DNS you loose the pop ups. It appears to be professionally hosted, but isn't. Also, we don't need a site that will use a lot of bandwidth, all we need is contact information and a database of who sent what. Very easy, I would even be glad to make the site.
