The 3rd Annual PA Tech Day was a great success! We had 40 Fiero Owners from 6 states, including New York, Virginia and Minnesota. There were a total of 33 Fieros in attendance (including our family fleet). A headliner tech session was given in the AM followed by a great pot luck lunch and then a fun road rally.
Pictures, Road Rally Winners and more details will be posted soon...right now I'm going to try driving to NY to see Billy Joel in concert tonight! And I need to find tickets!

Thanks to the Gilberts for another great day of fun...for all who didn't attend, it was a fun, yet relaxed day, and there was a great group of Fiero owners in attendance.

Jen thanks for the hospitality. it was great fun, and i got to go for my first ride in a V8 fiero, thats Henry. all in all it was a blast, rockcrawl and i thought up some crazy a$$ ideas for mixing a M90 + a T3/60-1 + a 3.4 TDC together.....only time will tell. i can't wait for next years tech day, perhaps we should have one in the spring/summer (when its warmer) so we can go for a cruise in the evening. later on.

That would be me (I'm in that collage- wearing a green shirt & bluejeans... showing Ski where the plates were ) That's also why I suggest that the MN group didn't get together that weekend!
As a matter of fact I'm still currently at the Gilbert's place right now! My flight leaves this evening (around 6pm- arrive back home a bit before 10pm).
Tech day was a blast. It was great to meet everyone in person and finally put some faces with names! It was also fun to have seen the looks on their faces when I mentioned where I was from Oh yeah- and now I can go home with a bit more confidence in fixing the headliner in my cars!
The Gilbert's hospitality is also top notch- I couldn't ask for a better family to hang out with. Cyndi, Jim, Jen, Jamie (who is snoozin' downstairs right now ), and all the "regulars" really made it feel like a home-away-from-home for me. Thanks Guys!
this may be a bit off-topic, but I'm sure that any of you who know either of us would find this pretty humorous Then there was an adventure yesterday (Sunday). Jen decided that she wanted to go see the Billy Joel/Elton John concert... in Long Island NY! So without tickets (and some crappy directions) we set out with very little time to spare (in her blue 85GT show car). We took a "scenic" route in/around Manhattan (ouch on the suspension), which delayed us a bit- but finally arrived at the venue a bit more than an hour after the concert had started. We expected to find some "scalpers" outside, but instead just talked to the box office who sold us two of the best seats in the whole place (center section, floor, dead center... awsome) for less than what worse tickets had been selling for on the 'net! After working our way back across Manhattan, and to the highway- I drove the rest of the back to the Gilbert's (seeing as how Jennifer had to work this morning at 8am- we didn't get back until nearly 3am). Thankfully I got to sleep in!
So if you ever have the opportunity to trek out to PA, I highly recommend you do so. It's definitely been one of the best times I've had all year, and I can hardly wait to come back again sometime. The only thing I'd change? Take another day or two off work and bring my car... just so skitime can't give me crap about not finishing anything on it!
Sweet.... Do you have family there? Did the wife go?
Hey we are driving to NJ and Philly in three weeks. I may stop in PA and talk to the Fiero people. Michelle lived in Southhampton PA for most of her life. We are going to see Michelle's Family in NJ and Friends that live in Northhampton PA. We are also going to look at places to live for future Move. No PA, Docs pay too much Insurance to practice there. Thinking about VA,MD,DC..

Tony- Nope... no family there (just Fieros). Nope... Carissa didn't come (she had a Mary Kay event at the same time).
I just had some extra vacation time, and decided that it'd be a fun time to just get away for a long weekend. Thing were/are getting pretty hectic around here and it was great to just forget about everything for the weekend. Now it's just tough getting "back in the saddle" again- at least I'll only have a 4 day week (although I'm already looking at expected overtime to catch up).
I really liked PA... if the opportunity ever arose, I'd even consider moving out there for awhile (it's just my kind of terrain...and the twisty roads are sweet). If you're passing through, I highly recommend you contact the Gilbert's for at least a brief visit!
