Forgot my damn camera. We just got home. It was a great day with lots of Fieros and food. I want to thank the Gilberts for opening their home and all the work they did for the event. Jim another excellent Tech Session. Jen nice job on organizing the road rally even if I did come in last. lol

I just want to second SkiTime's comments. I had a great day and met some great people. The Gilberts are wonderful and I am glad to have met them. The Road Rally was a blast. I have some pictures that I will have to resize and post (they are about 800k each now). I did not take as many as I originally planned.
It was fun driving home in the misty rain with the windows open. That glue is still kinda strong.
Thanks again for a great day!!

I finally learned how to resize my photos. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? Jim Gilbert doing headliners. Chow time Jen doing door prizes and Rally awards Usual repair session at Jim's. Road rally start "I am the warrior, victory is mine" Scandal 88 Duke notchbacks rule.

Yesterday was a BLAST!! The cool overcast day did not hinder the event on bit! The road rally was the best part, wrought with underhanded tactics, slick manovers and more twists than the roads we drove it on! It was well worth the trip. There was food and people and food and glue fumes and food and fieros and food. My thanks to the Gilberts for an excelent day.

My appologies to Dave and the rest, I had planned on suprizing the crew with a visit, to the tech session ( suffice it to say, from the pic your get togethers leave much to be desired here in CA get togethers ) however school life and ASVAB preparations have kept me from the forum for the past 3 months. and will continue to do so for the next several months. After speaking with Jen I just has to check out the photos my self - your next session just may have this west coaster out there partying with the rest if time and schedule permits, however if something is important, you make the time 0 and I see this as very important =-)

Sorry 86GTchick, but just exactally who are you and where do you live?? Someone said you live in West Chester. So what's your beef anyway? And another thing, what kind of Fiero are you sitting on? I never saw a brown one before. How many horse power is it? Can it do a 1/4 mile??? Jim (but you can call me dad)

Damn this sucks! I wish i would have been able to make it. I got a flat friday night and I didn't think it would be smart to ride on a bubble. I would have come late, but i didn't actually get a new tire on till around 2. But i really really wish i would have been there. Looks like it was blast. Keep posting the pictures, I want to see what I've missed. Matt

Yes I have to agree, I had a good time thanks to the Gilberts.
Honestly, I think the best time I had all day was trying to keep up with Jen and Ski when coming back from Ice Cream. Jen, very nice roads. Tip for anyone who tries to do what I did: a stock V6 Auto !DOES NOT! keep up with a 3800 5 speed sitting on 88 suspension. I think you should have more of that next year.
I may just attempt that headliner sometime soon.....

Great event! I'd just like to say thanks to Jim, Cyndi, Jen and that other girl (Dancer or Jamie or something... j/k) for a great day. I was 1/3rd of the "Long Island Crew" (without a Fiero). I'm actually the guy standing on the left in the horse picture. For those who couldn't make it, don't miss out next time! Well, I'll try to post some different pics here.
hang on....

Hey that was a blast. Jen had the advantage of knowing those twisted roads but I was worried we were going to loose you guys. hehe

Heh, Yea. I watched Jen pull out of the ice cream place, actually somewhat maturly(sp). Then Ski pulls up, looks both ways, and romps it down the "turnpike" behind her. I pull out behind them, and realize I am so not catching them down this strait away.
Jen took that first right at what? 40? 50? Ski followed suit and from behind that was a gorgeous view of the 2 of you very noticably using some top end into the woods. I looked over to Lynn and ooh boy, hollon.
Jermey? with the maroon GT with an eye patch, you here? Sorry if I held you up at all, I knew some times I was, but not all the time.
I am a firefighter. I am paranoid of driving on wet leaf covered roads. The car was not always holding me back.

Nah, you weren't holding me back, I was actually on edge most of the time because my suspension is in horrible shape. There was one area that was really bumpy that I was going too fast and it threw me all over the road. It was fun though besides, I enjoyed hearing everyone's exhausts in front of me.

Heh heh. I think the rough spot was one of the best sections for me. I caught up with ski a little bit. I have a lot of practice getting over bumpy sections fast without having problems. Anybody who has driven from Paoli to Devon on route 30, you know what Im talking about. They have been doing construction for a couple ?years? now. Constantly tearing up and patching over. There must be a mess of pipes under that road.
Maybe Im just nutty and begging for a suspention rebuild and a bent rim, but road quality in chester county has me desensitized to minor bumps and small pot holes. If you do a quick but hard break immediately (6 inches) before and immediately after a bump, it keeps your front end from getting too lofty. Jeremy I think you probably saw me hit my breaks quick and hard like 6-7 times in that stretch?
