Hey all, just wondering. If you buy a new GM crate 3.4 motor, or use your 2.8 and a 3.4 heads, what kinda turbo should you use with it? I'm interested in this swap now, but I don't know what kinda turbo setup to use with it. Any suggestions/pictures would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all

Where is PA are you? I'm right outside Pittsburgh.

Incidentally, I'm working on a similar project. Turboing a 2.8 and maybe upgrading to a 3.4

I'm 20 min. north of Philadelphia, in the Yardley/Morrisville area. Very close to Trenton NJ. Thinking of getting a TDC 3.4 and turbo, or maybe twin turbo. Anyone familar with this?

PA is a big state and too bad you are on the other side. There is a 3.4 DOHC sitting down the street in the junkyard. Keep watching the list and try a search you will find the information you are looking for.

David,

Start with a 3.1L or a 3.4L, you'll be much happier (I'm speaking from experience here). You need some low end grunt to get you off the line quickly until the turbo has time to spool up. I'm already itching to stroke my motor for some more displacement with my turbo 2.8L. I'll probably end up with a 3.1L with internals chosen with forced induction in mind.
