It could be done with a heavily reinforced t-top center bar, new door frames, and some gas shocks.. not an easy mod, but I really am surprised no one's done it yet.
should be simpler than scissor doors.. then again, I don't know any Fieros (kits excluded) that have scissor doors either
Yeah... Well I figured that with a T-top, The capability is there. In all honesty, gullwings could potentially look way better on a Fiero than a Delorean. Lots of work. I am really surprised that nobody has done this yet.

A gull wing had been a thread of the past. No one had the funds or inclination to proceed. Check the search fuction for the rational of no gullwing door. If after reading the pros and cons, feel free to proceed with your design and creation, then get back to us.

Id leave the doors alone. But gullwing is at least possible for less than tens of thousands of dollars like swing up (Lambo) style. Have to fabricate upper door frame to surround the window to have somewhere to fasten the hinges. Center bar for a T Top would be perfect. Maybe just rework the top part of a door from another car that has similar shape window. Weld it into the steel door frame. Have to trim off sides and top of the window glass too (EZ for a glass shop). Id guess you could even still use the stock latch and lock. Do need some heavy struts though, maybe from a Van liftgate. There not light.

Yeah, since the window has no frame it would cost big money to fabricate one that can hold a door up. Also i believe a t-top wouldnt make a good base. The split in the center of the 2 tops is minimal, and if you try to open the door it would rub and stop only about halfway, especially if both doors were opened. If you look a DeLorean it is not set up like that, it has a wide bar down the middle which it part of the roof, not the door, so it has 2 split and nothing will interfear with eachother. You would have to fabricate a window frame that raps around to the roof so t-tops wouldnt help at all. If you wanna do this... i estimete about $10,000 for a reputable automotive customizer to do it not including paint.

I think it would be rather simple. If you start with a NON t-top. on the back side of the door add a bar going straight up to the top of where the window opens to. Have a four bar linkage to attach to a roll bar equivalent and to the new bar on the door. Have a gas strut stong enough to hold it up attached to the four bar linkage. The door would then open out a little and swing up. Ending up with the bottom of the door up in the air.
The expense and difficult comes when people assume it needs a frame around the window. I don't think it does.
If only I had a spare car...I will try to get one and try this out.
