When I had the V8(longitude mounted)in my GT I had it weighed.With a full tank of gas and me in it it weighed:
front 1200 lbs.
rear 2200lbs.
total 3400 lbs.
The same car,same specs.with a 3800SC mounted the right way(Transverse):
front 1280 lbs.
rear 1880 lbs.
total 3160 lbs.
This car has a complete tubular A arm front end and a Harwood scoop on the rear deck.Other than that,I assume,it weighs the same as any other 88GT.Maybe this info.will be of some help to others.
I forgot my weight---about 165 lbs.

hugh,
just a little tip you may be interested in. Hook your vacuum modulator on your trans to boost, and it will shift alot better. Ive been fighting it for 15,000 miles, and finally got it figured out today. So simple, yet so elusive.
