Well, for all those people that enjoy just meeting and enjoying the fellowship of other Fiero owners, I do hope that many of you will come to the Red River Ruckus in October. From the onset, this has been planned as a low-key event that is more designed around having fun and enjoying the weekend then building up incredible expectations. I feel that in time, this event can be on par with Carlisle and The Dells.
Please come, we'd love to have you. And the waitresses give you all the ice tea you can drink!

Dragon- 1st off, it was great talking with you Saturday morning...thanks for stopping by. And about your request for input on the Daytona show (I flew down for it 3 years ago)- can you move it any closer? That's nearly a 24 hour drive for me?!
I really like what you have done with your car. It's coming along very nicly.
I wish Daytona was closer - I could go to more shows that way. It amazes me the way Ivory Fiero is all over the place.
You could always come down to north Georgia to play at Run For The Hills if you wanted to. It's a little shorter distance.

People will never learn - plain and simple. I had the pleasure (??) of meeting Phil in California for the "Come See The '89/90 Prototype" event. I'll never forget the look on his face when he almost choked on his sandwich as I said "Ever see anything like this?" and pulled the prototype Fiero emblems from my pocket. The attitude I got was that if I didn't have anything of "value" to show him, he wouldn't have given me the time of day.

If you want to go to a show that goes as planned and as scheduled go to shows like the Dells, the FieroRama or the Carlisle show. These 3 shows are put on by people who actually care what you think of their shows.
Thank you on behalf of MAFOA, hosts of the Carlisle show. They work very hard and I'm sure that they appreciate the kind words! I've worked with many different organizations running their car shows and it's a lot of work to plan everything out, but that pales in comparison to the work some people put into their vehicles. Sometimes as the show promoter/host, you have to suck it up and award trophies even if you don't want too. Only 1 car in a class? Big deal - to that person it means something. Don't shuffle them into the pack and let them fend for themselves. As a show host, it's your job to help each person compete fairly. Obviously these FOCOA National shows are ill-run, and maybe people will either clean them up or close them up. But that's THEIR choice ...

He's a member of Lone Star Fieros here in Houston, and will probably be attending the Bud Classic on September 7. That's on the east side of Houston. I don't think I have his email, but I can get yours to him.

Lisa & Jen are two very nice girls Thanks for the good words !!
Oh, yeah. I had the pleasure of meeting Lisa at Williamsburg last year. Funny part was, we'd both been members of NC Fieros1 for 7 or 8 months back when she was doing purgatory in Greensboro , but every meeting I went to, she missed, and vice versa. We made a couple of meetings together before she moved out of NC for good after Williamsburg. She's cool. I met Jen briefly at Williamsburg, but we really didn't get much of a chance to talk. I even met you, but it was more along the lines of "This your car? Awesome! Gotta go look at other cars now..."

If the weather is like this years Carlisle event, the Hooter girls will be wearing parkas.
