What would louvers look like on the back of fastback gt? Like the earlier trans ams have. I think it would be cool if someone could get something like that to work. Anyone with photoshop be willing to do a pic?

You'd have to mod the fastback quite a bit to get the louvers to come up with the decklid. It wouldn't be too useful (I don't think), but it looks alright.

Seems to me that those louvers were offered by Pontiac at one time. Probably with the mounting/hinge hardware to allow them to open with the decklid. I have no idea if anyone still makes them, though. If anybody finds a manufacturer, please let me know. I think they look great.

Okay, okay. If its one gotdamn thing I can't stand it's those motherfunckin' Type R badges on American cars ! I'm looking at the car and I'm thinking....wow now that's classy. Then I see some godawful back lovers and a Type R badge. That's like having a roll call list on your door for parts that are not even IN PRODUCTION for the vehicle it's on !! Does this moron even know what racing is about and why you should even put decals on a car ? Is he in the running for contingency money ? What a ricer. In my opinion if your car doesn't come with a Type R badge then leave it be. It WOULD BE a nice Fiero too. It's people like this that support the "riceboy" mentality by putting stupid decals and bullshit on American cars. It's like Japanese writing on a Ford Mustang or something. Funkin' retarded.

I'm pretty sure JC Whitney sells them for the notchback but I didn't see any for the fastback. I wonder what it looks like on a notchback?

I think they also sell them for the fastback. I coudl be wrong, but I know someone does. A few months ago this topic had come up and someone posted the link with where to get the louvers. I guess they are hooked onto the car on either side of the rear window brake light with hinges, and there are soft rollers on the bottom so that it doesnt mark up the decklid when you lift it.

Soooooooooo Fierokid.....do you support Type R badges on all vehicles? And if so please share with us the philosophy behind it. I too think the car HAD potential until all the rice was added. And the louvers suck too.

I dont really care what you think of me. I still think that Fiero is awesome. Oh and yes I really think every car on the road should have the type R badge. Dont you know it adds Hp (scense the sarcasim?) That Fiero may be all riced. But its what he likes. We are all Fiero owners here. Though im not sure at what point a hand full of Fiero owners our there started turning against each other.

I think that this "ricer thing" is getting outta control. Either you leave you car stock or people complain that your car is ricey. Whats wrong with side and trunk scoops, I think they give the fiero a good look. I also think that the louvers on that fiero make it look good. I admit the type R badge is to much, but hey he has done some really nice things to that car. Its better to have a type R badge on a fiero then see one thats been abused and in a junk yard.

In response to the ORIGINAL request...

This is in fact an idea to be implemented on the ITALGT project. This is just a quick photoshop job, but you get the idea! Sorry, not window louvers... but Trans Am vents on the rear deck-lid. Close but no cigar???

80's boy. Back off! Who cares if you don't like the gtR badge. For some people who really don't care about the whole "ricer" idium, they are just another small addition to the car. Just becuse there is an R there it is ricing it? What about people who had additional GT badges to their fiero GT? Those badges werent meant to be on that car. What the hell is the difference? There was no need to post that to Fierokid. Grow up and get off your high horse!

It's not a type R badge, It's a GTR badge from a Skyline. While I don't see why anyone would want to put a badge from an overengineered family car on their Fiero, (Also, I think the badge itself looks pretty ugly as well.) I don't see why anyone should throw a fit over it either.

Just so everyone knows what 80's boy is talking about, here's pics of his car.

How much contingency money did Super Street magazine pay you? I haven't seen a Fiero in the pages of Super Street either. Maybe I missed it while skipping past the Honda Civic wing installation articles.
The louvres are a matter of different people's varied tastes. Just like you thinking that a white and yellow vinyl interior is classy, and lots of other people disagreeing with you.

So, my opinion doesn't matter, but perhaps some agree with me that: Drop the logos, and both those cars are pretty tight. (Anyone else notice the targa-style roof of the 'Super Street' car?)

People can disagree all they want, they just need to hold off on the ranting.
Both these cars had their own threads. The black car had alot of people saying some harsh words about it. Then the owner of the car joined the forum and explained that he bought the car like that and while he wasn't a big fan of the stickers and badges, he was pretty annoyed at how alot of forum member like to whine about stuff.

If you want to see more of 80's boy's car, here's the thread about his car. https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/018159.html
