Well let me start by asking "Where's that darn..(edit profile button?!) I'm new to your forum but have heard sooo much about it since i've been one of the topics of disscussion.. I am the new owner of the Best of Show @ Aburn and NO i didn't build but I am the guy that finished it !!! and it ain't done yet.. I wish I would have built, I could have built it and could build one to beat it in any show!! giv'in time and $$$$ but I was looking for a good 88 Fiero GT,
to put the motor out of my Show 90, S-10 which by the way his Placed in 60% of the shows it was entered in "that I built!" I wanted a beater that i could transform into a real street beast and Honda eater... but what i found was a real gem. yes it was built by Mike in Cinncinnati and was "AINT NO 4" but not not more, it is "IT FLYZ 2" my S-10 is "IT FLYZ",
I have always given Mike ALL the Credit for what he has done BEFORE i bought the car, and for those of you that have seen this car can testify that Mikey did one hell of a job at building "in my opinion" one of the KOOLEST Fieros I've ever seen!!!!!! So when I started looking for a donor 88GT and just happened to find this one I was in awe of what Mike had created so i bought, but to me it wasn't finished so I have purchased YET MORE SHINY stuff and started Nolan a whole new product line of stuff for the front of the car which in my opinion wasn't up to par with the rest of the car. I told myself that the car was going to stay as it was for this season but i just had to break that promise and finish the front under the hood. Those of you who have seen it know that it was done right!! Like I said "it ain't done yet" but "Mike thanks a million!!"
Now for you that had some things to say because "God forbid I showed a car that i didn't build" you must not know who BOYD or TROY are ??!!! just in case you are totally stupid they are two of the best custom car builders in the country. People spend BIG bucks to have one of their works of art,but does ANYONE slam their owners for showing them ??? "I think NOT !!" and does anyone slam Fred Warren who has what has to be one of the KOOLEST collection of steet rods, now numbering around 6 or 7 not sure of that number it may be higher, that has won the TOP HONORS at all the shows he has entered each of his $250,000 min cars that were not built by Fred himself "I think NOT!" so all of you that want to slam me because i show mine "SCREW YOU!!!" and to you who support me and admire a FINE GT-R "more on the GTR in a moment" I THAMK YOU !! special thanks to RAREW66 and his wife who told me what some of you said and stood my ground in defence of me and my car. and yes on the way to Aburn i got caught in not one but two thunderstorms and you can only imagion what Black&Chrome look like after that!! YES,I CLEANED FOR 3 DAYS TO GET THE CAR IN BEST OF SHOW SHINE!!! so who cares where these beautiful cars come from just so long as they keep coming..!!! and for the guy who said i didn't tell him thanks for telling me what an awesome car the GT is.... i'm sorry, i'm not normally that way but "hey bud i'm sorry!" next time you see me, you remind me of that and i'll tell you in person and shake your hand and can usually talk CARS for hours, must have been a looong day in the sun.. The car is awesome and I ain't blowing my horn cause I didn't build it BUT I will finish it and continue do some changes.. NOW for those of you that DON'T LIKE my GTR badge on the BACK "SCREW U 2"...... nah just kidding, like i said i wasn't going to change the car for this season but. . . that may be one of the other things that i change soon. ... i'm thinking of replacing that with an emblem of Pegasus minus the word Fiero at the top as soon as i find or make one fitting for the car?? Hey RAREW66
didn't you say you have a CNC machine and could you make what i want if i give you the measurements i want?? let me know ! i know Nolan will chrome it, he'll chrome anything!! Kurt sorry to hear bout the bump on the chin..call me gotta talk to ya...and last but no means least "Thanks Chris for an AWESOME show!!!!", so there you go let the replies roll !!!!!

I wasn't there, I haven't met you. Just linking the topic you're refering to...
https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/019609.html

Personally, I like the pics of your car. Of course, there are as many opinions about what to do or not do to a car as there are people. I respect you for coming here to give your story. Welcome!

I saw your car at frankenmuth , regaurdless of what people say your award was well deserved , the attention to detail was unbelievable.

There was quite a bit of discussion among some well known Fiero people about the level of quality of your car, and the lack of class some people on this forum have shown towards it because it may have not been there taste.

Again nice car and congrats...

Kameo Kid,

Might not remember me, Im yello86, the yello modded car I was also in yello and black at the show. We spoke alot friday night if you recall.
Let the people say what they want. It is yoru car just like mine is mine. You have modded the entire car, Im almost done.
I do agree the chrome can be a pain in the a$$ but it looks so cool clean.
Different mods are what this forum and the fiero is all about. I dont mind yoru car at all, In fact im jealous mines not done. I also wanted to say how much I enjoyed talkign to you and seeign the car lit up at night.
I just wish I could find a show worthy car also instead of using all my blood and sweat to get one there.
I for one dotn care for stickers though

Best of luck, hope all is well and welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum. I wasn't at the show but the pictures looked great.
I own 2 cars that i didn't build....why becuase I can't do everything....hell I can't do hardly anything when it comes to building fiberglass body panels, or chopping tops , or V-8 swaps.....but the I thing I can do is Clean and shine. having the best car in the world won't win you any awards if you don't keep it detailed.
I also bought both of my cars for alot less than I could have built them.

Saw your car at Frankenmuth, and regardless of people's opinions on your car, they have to respect the amount of work and detail put into it. Every car is going to have some things done to it that someone might not agree with, but that's no reason to bash it. I was astounded by the amount of work and effort in your car, and I think you should be very proud of it.

Also, so long as YOU enjoy it, that's what matters!

Hey dude, welcome! I've yet to see your car in person, but I *can* tell you that there's only ONE thing I don't like about it )

That nissian-style 'GT-R' sticker on the back of those sweet Ferrari-style taillights (I really do like those, and like I said, your car looked great. That badge didn't do it for me though.)

Just a little 'constructive criticizm' (unasked for, granted And just one guy's opinion. Take for what worth. But I'd loose that badge like a bad habbit.

Hope to see your car and meet you one of these days.

Best!
Ben.
