I have an 88 Formula, and a 85 GT. I know the 88's have different suspension, and speakers. Other then the word "Formula" on the doors, what makes the Formula unique to other models of the Fiero?

Formulas were not offered with all the options that you could get on a gt like power mirrors. "formula' was a performance coupe with the v-6 and ws6 suspension option.

I am sure we have covered this before in depth with specific options and all, but I am too lazy to search for it and do a link!
So... Here is what it was.
A Fiero Formula is a 88 Fiero Coupe with the W66 Formula option, which included: L44 2.8L V6 Engine Black Diamond Spoke Wheels 215/60R15 back, 205/15R16 front tires WS6 Special Performance Suspension (rear anti-roll bar, springs) D80 Rear Spoiler
All other Fiero optios were available on the Formula except the following: V56 Luggage Carier (of course, the spoiler!) UQ6 Subwoofer 60P Gold Diamond Spoke wheels DG7 Power Mirrors.
Otherwise, you can find a Formula with next to no options all the way up to everything except these 4!
The idea was to bring the price of a V6 Fiero down some as the GT and previous SE were so loaded it was pricing a lot of potential buyers out of the market.

Were Formulas suppose to be a "special edition" model for the end of the Fiero production? or were they just a V6 Fiero that was cheaper and nothing special besides the name "formula" ?
