I have the Jacob's Electronics Omni Torquerer on my 89 Dodge Daytona. Also I have the MSD DIS-2 ignition on my 87 2m4 Ferrari 328 kit car.I just bought the Jacob's Electronic's Pro Street ignition for my Pontiac 88 Mera(a Formula Fiero made into a Ferrari 308 kit car at the factory).
Ok,the Jacob's Omni Torquerer ignition did what it said it would do,it gave me alot more low end torque and smoothed out the mids and high end a bit too.I love this ignition, and is why I bought the Pro Street which is alot better than the Omni Torquerer. The Pro Steet gives the same boosting effects from lows to highs and has multi spark, and hotter coil that comes with the package. The seperate upgrade pack I bought has a NOS type switch that the spark boosts tremendously at WOT.It also has an alarm activation switch too.It is one of the best igntions out there. Now the MSD on the 2.5 Iron Duke engine definitely added punch to the car.It really got the car to keep pulling from low end to high end.The 2m4 usually is a good off the line then crap out near 30 mph car.The MSD ignition really helped out,it makes the pull consistant. With all the ignitions,I have parred them up with 8.5mm suppressed ignition cables. The 2m4 has twin Accel coil packs, and a coil pack mount by MSD,as it is a distributorless engine. The Omni Torquer has a built in coil and the Pro Street came with a huge coil. All my cars are modded out and will keep getting more and more mods as time goes on.
I am really impressed by both MSD and the Jacob's Electronics company.Either way you'll have a good ignition.I lean more towards the Pro Street ignition though.A little more zing and options.
I know this did not directly answer your question on the igntion you were inquiring about, but I have used both companies and wanted you to know what I thought about both companies.
Oh yeah, this isnt related but,the MSD DIS-2 is a pain in the a$$ to install...
Hope this helps,Mike Tampa
