Take yor VIN # to the Pontiac dealer and see if they can pull up the correct key code. If the lock has never been changed, the will be able to supply the code.
Just had to use that option at the Dells and it worked like a charm.

cuz if it does you can charge it enough to open the decklid
you can charge it through the cigerete lighter
you can take out the cig. lighter hook the positive(red wire) up to the battery chargers red jumper cable and hook the other jumper cable up to ground(frame of car)
p.s. you must charge the battery slow because you can not put too many volts through the wire

Well, if someones knows where the wire to the trunk release runs, couldn't you just give it 12V and thus trigger the release?
Or, since the vent over the battery is gone, just hook a pair of jumper cales to the battery wires and the other end to either a bettery or a car. And again you can just use the trunk release then.
There's propably flaws in my theories, Its 4:46AM and I'm going to sleep now...
If you do have a power trunk release you can pull the relay ( located under the dash by the steering colmun) and trigger the solenoid using jumper cables and a booster batt. neg to chassis and pos to the relay socket. (check with an ohm meter for the right wire). Other than that it is the drill, locksmith or dealer routine.

he stated no options, good info guys... but no remote release for him.
you could do what previous people have done on every fiero I've gotten... beat the holy crap out of the lock assembly til the lid is ruined and the lock falls out. Not a suggestion though... a locksmith will cost you less.

I personally tried a GM dealer today, he told me that anything pre 1990 cannot be made anymore.
I beat the lock out of a 88 coupe yesterday, me and MRJ got it out of the trunk without damaging the decklid at all,
the doors are much easier to get into,
get a flat head screw driver, poke all the rubber stripping behind the window, pry it out about 1/4-1/2 inch, get a large metal bar shapped like an L and jimmy it down the door and push the lock forward,
I done that with my 88 coupe, i got it without keys and got in less than 30 seconds (ask MRJ he was amazed)

First smoke some crack, then break out your sawzall and saw a hole in the decklid into the trunk compartment and release the mechanism by hand, then use elmer's school glue and popsicle sticks to reinstall the part you had to cut out. After eating the portion of the bottle of school glue that you did not use, go to autozone and get touch up paint in a bottle-make sure when you touch up the area you worked on, leave brush strokes with the applicator, because brush strokes are cool.
This is the right way to do it, but you can use the other guy's suggestions above as short cuts
