Well I talked to my insurance agent, and they told me that if my car is going to cost more then 75% of its fair market value to fix, then they will just write it off. I am wondering what the fair market value of a 86 Fiero GT is. Automatic, rear defrost, Power windows, sunroof are the options I guess. I live in Ontario Canada. I think we go by the Red book or Black book....does anyone know?????
Thanks
Kyle

When I bought mine last year the Ont Used Vehicle Package listed the average retail value at 2700.00.

If it's fixable you may consider buying it back from the ins company and doing the repairs yourself.

2700 eh? Is it a GT? I cant remember. I talked to the insurance agent, and she said that the way they let me buy it back, is by giving me %100 of the parts money i need, and %80 of the labour.....looks like they are going to write it off.whcih is fine, because then I can maybe convert everything over to my non-running 85GT....I have to drop ooff my car to the GM dealership on Friday.
