OK, Stage 1 was the suspension.

* Eibach springs
* KYB dampers
* Fiero Store rear sway bar
* Darrell Morse; rear upper strut bar, poly dogbone and solid aluminum cradle bushings
* WCF poly wngine and transmission mounts
* Prothane Total Kit poly bushing kit...

are all purchased, and will be installed along with this stage (the dogbone will be modified or not used at all).

Stage 2; Engine Swap.

Purchased today;

* 1996 Monte Carlo 3.4 TDC DOHC engine, 24,000 miles
* NEW GM ECM w/new extra PROM chip
* NEW Centerforce clutch
* NEW GM flywheel
* Monte Carlo wiring harness
* Monte Carlo factory manual
* About 1.5" of printoffs from the net on info on the engine and this swap.

We'll be beginning the swap this week. We are going to refinish the factory cradle and suspension control arms and install all the suspension parts while in the process of this swap, as well as restore and refinish the engine bay entirely. I will also be removing all the body panels for a fresh paint job, adding (and modifying) the wheel flares and the 5-hole wheels.

Hope to be on the road by June 1, but this may now be a stretch, since we keep adding to the list. "While we're in there, why don't we..."

Basically the car will be 80%+ restored when I'm done with this, and the braking system and interior are next.

Supersweet man! You'll LOVE the sound that engine makes. Should have come from the factory then. Of course, what would the world have done with a GM that out-exotics a Boxster?

Best!
Ben.

Very cool,

Let me know when a good time would be to stop by in the next couple of weeks so that I can "supervise."

Randy; $1,300 for everything listed (engine, ECM, clutch, harness, etc).

Mach (and others); fair enough...your opinion. I don't think it'll ever actually be on the car unless I run an top-end runs, like at the Silverstate Classic or something...

jefrysuko and NOCONES; I was hoping you'd want to "supervise". heh... we're doing the swap at the shop, a couple miles from my place. We'll hook up soon.
