NIFE and Heartland Fieros have planned a joint spring driving event. There will be a group leaving the Chicago area on Friday evening.

Saturday, May 4, the route will start at the river levee in Davenport, IA and eventually end up in Dubuque, IA for a river boat cruise through Lock and Dam #11. The cruise route will make various stops and have many scenic views of the Mississippi River. I expect 3-4 hours of drive time.

Sunday May 5, the route will once again leave Davenport and cruise through Muscatine, Ia across the river and back up the Illinois side. Once back in the Quad Cities, the group will stop at the John Deere Commons for all the John Deere history a person can stand.I expect 2-3 hours of drive time.

Everyone is welcome and has the option of joining and leaving the group as you wish.

For those interested in Hotel info, Riverboat cruise info or any specific details, send me an e-mail for info.

Thanks for the bandwidth,

The weatherman is predicting sunny and 70 for two days of cruising.

The group is meeting at the corner of Beiderbeck Drive and Marquette Street just west of the Centennial Bridge. We will be leaving the river front at 10:30 sharp on both Saturday and Sunday.

There is also a group getting together at the Villiage Inn on North Brady Street for Breakfast at 8:00 on both mornings.

The cruise route will consist of roads that follow the Mississippi River on both days. 183 miles worth on Saturday and 75 miles on Sunday.

Anyone intersted in more specific details, please e-amil me.
