Hi ,just thought some of you might be interested in seeing this car. They are quite rare as the company in Vancouver that produced them was only around for a short while. This one is built on an 86 platform and has 40,000 miles + on it. It is for sale if anyone would be interested. The pictures give you a fairly good idea of what the kit involved but it needs to be detailed desperately. Here's some pics and possibly some new ideas. Edited for mileage

There is actually quite an interesting story about the company who started to produce these cars. The company known as "Cimbria" somehow talked the government into giving them a grant for something like 1.2 million dollars to get their business off the ground. They moved into a lavish business park in Burnaby B.C. Canada and commenced their business out of a beautiful architecturally (spelling) designed building.I am not sure how long after they received the grant, but it was not a long time at all, they called it quits in B.C. and decided to re-locate with the tax payers money to Los Angeles. They figured the market would be better there. They were in L.A. for a very short time and folded the business. Smell something fishy???????? Oh well just thought I would give you all a little history on this car. Not sure how many were produced, but it was not very many at all.

My thought exactly. Looks like it's about to start falling apart. Price is kinda high.

The original Cimbria's were VW-based and built way back in the 70s. There was another identical car called a Sterling.
The cool thing about the Sterling was the hydraulic top. To get in and out of the cars, the entire windshield and top actually moved up and forward. The Cimbria had gullwing doors.
The car in this thread is a terrible rip-off of what was once a nice car.
