I have the Getrag shifter assembly rebuild kits ready. This kit is to rebuild the shifter assembly that is in the center console. Includes oilite bushings to replace the original plastic bushings, a new select shaft and brass round piece that replaces the round ball and several shims. This will make your Getrag shifter assembly like new or even better than new. $29.00 and $3.00 shipping. I will have Isuzu shifter assembly rebuild kits soon also. I will soon offer rebuild kits for the 4 speeds but the only parts needed will be the brass oilite bushings and some shims so that kit will cost much less. Not on my web page yet. These kits are easy to install but it will require you to remove the shifter assembly from the car. A bit of effort but worth it if you want to make your shifter like new.

How much effort is involved with getting the assembly in and out?

It's a PITA. You need to remove the shifter console, the center console, radio/HVAC surround and the center skeleton to get at the shifter assembly. I have removed the assembly without completely removing the skeleton, but you do run the risk of breaking it if you don't.

The assembly is held on by four 13mm nuts and the cables are attached with small cotter pins/clips and two big U shaped clips. Once everything is out of the way and the cables are off the assembly will come out.

It's not a hard job, just time consuming.

Are the oilite bushings available alone?? That's the only place I have wear in my shifter assembly.
