It's been for sale now for a while, and rather cheap if I remember right. It's an '88 that the owner gutted to race with.
Anyways, this is at Ed Parks "Fiero Factory" in Toney AL, right on Rt. 53. I'm headed there for the last weekend in April, when he has his 3 day swap meet. Last year's swap meet was a blast! (Although I couldn't stay the entire time) Cya there!

That's going to be the new Challenge car, it will have the engine/tranny removed (already sold) and a carb'd 4.9 with an "worked" TH125 powering it within a couple months.
I also have an 86 coupe with an '88 cradle there. Both will be available at the swap meet for "discussion".
Hey, M7Fieros - - I sent a PM some time back about our swap meet caravan stop in Memphis.
Hey its my sig on the wall. Thanks My7Fieros for the very nice pics. Man I can't believe that I have been down there 3 times already. I so want to go back soon. Going through withdrawls from the Factory. So what engine is Ed puting in for you>?>?
Thanks Ken

This is one of my "old" '88 Formulas. I sold it to Ed 2 years ago (and it hasn't been driven since!). It was the nicest driving Fiero I have ever owned.....not necessarily the fastest, but it regularly gets 33MPG. On several trips (including the one when I delivered it to Ed) I went almost 400 miles on a tank of gas (my record for a V-6 Fiero is 388.4). It always goes 350 miles per tank on the highway at the very least, so it made road trips a pleasure.....I always knew when I had to fill up!
It still has the "illegal" California license plates on it too. Those came off of another Fiero I bought in L.A. back in 2000.
See you at the swap meet next month!

Great pictures My7. You did not even show the addtional 30-50 Fieros that are in the back of the shop. Some are which are just shells.
That red customized Fiero with black stripes belongs to a guy named Ron in Huntsville. Send me a e-mail and I will tell you how to get in touch with him. He also owns an awesome red Aldino kit car on an 86 Fiero chassis which is for sale.

Moo Cow, yeah your sig was hard to find, but when I saw "Moo Cow" on it, I had to take a pic lol. The 4.9 swap is pretty pricey...depends really though. Beginning to finish, including a brand new GM crate engine, labor, blah blah blah, averages for around 7 grand. It can get cheaper for a used engine. I drove Ed's 4.9 and it was literally ungodly fast. The brakes couldnt handle it though, after going about 110, the brakes smoked like a motha! They def need a big brake conversion on it. I would've taken more pics, but the memory card on my camera filled up..wish I had a spare w/ me. Yes, there are lots more "junked" Fieros on the other side of the building. The absolute sweetest Fiero Ive ever seen is there..its been there forever it seeems like. I belongs to a guy who ironically lives here in Memphis also. Its an 88 GT that hes haveing a 4.9 TURBO installed. Its got SOOOOO many goodies I couldnt even begin to tell you..like 13 inch slotted/drilled/vented brake rotors...wayy too much to mention. I couldnt really get a good pic of it due to where it was (on the lift in the far corner of the shop). I couldnt even begin to tell you how many times Ive been to Ed's place...lots. This was the first time I took pics. Brian, the 4.9 guy there, lent me a video of the Convertible Fiero...process of how it works, being made, ect...SWEET!!! Anyway, see ya next month at the swap meet!
I don't see the thrill or the need for a 4.9, its a POS engine that caddy made. I guess because its cheap and easy to do but jeeze, it comes in second to the HT4100 for worst to work on.

Another wannabe that's gonna do something someday - - maybe - - so he feels he can just shoot his mouth off about those that have done it.
I have seen more 200,000 + mile 4.x motors than I have N*'s - - talk about POS!!

I have never heard anything bad about this engine. In a Fiero, its golden! Go drive one in a Fiero and you'll understand!
Pics - GREAT pictures! The turbo Fiero is an interesting piece. Lots of time in that one! Thanks for sharing!

These pics are bumming me out. My 88 GT Turbo is next to the red and black turbo car but I get no pics. I know my car isn't as good looking but I like it. Oh well nice pics anyway. Maybe I should get some racing stripes,,,,
