I'm barely 5'10" but I drive with my seat back as far as it will go. So I suppose my legs are long for my height since I have tons of room above my head, (a chop top would do me nicely)

But I wonder how people 6' and over feel about squeezing into a Fiero.

I'm 6'2" without my boots and spiked hair....

I will NOT fit into a Fiero without both a tilt steering wheel, and a sunroof or t-tops... tried, I couldn't get in past the steering wheel.. and on one fiero I was in without a sunroof, my head was resting on the ceiling.. I suppose I could have slouched more in the seat, but thaty'd feel too much like sitting at school. LOL..

6'6". Seat allthe way back, tilt wheel up. I can drive a Fiero without a sunroof, but I wouldn't want to have to.

Looks like I'm a little guy around here.

I'm 5'10 and my Fiero is very comfortable. Tons of head room. Can't have the seat all the way back, wouldn't be able to fully disengage my clutch. I don't like straining my leg to do that.

Oh yeah! I'm 10 foot 2 inches and I need a custom Fiero to get around. After years of planning, I finally fabricated the perfect Fiero for someone of my "statute"

6'4". I'm fine but as said above, I need the sunroof opening if I want to sit up. I have shorter legs and a long torso. Wow. I actually worked "torso" into a sentence....

I'm 6'2" 215 lbs and I have no problems getting in or out of my Fiero. I do have tilt so that helps. My seat is all the way back, I can reach the clutch brakes and gas easily. I don't feel like my head is touching the roof, just comfortable. My car is also lowered 2".

I'm 6'1" and I fit into my Fiero quite comfortably. It has the solid roof so my hair will barely rub the headliner. I have somewhat long legs for my height so the problem is getting into the car. Sometimes when parked close to another car, I have to roll down the window to slide myself in. This is why Archie should make a suicide door kit.

6'4" 235lbs. no problem, if Jane @ 5'2" has remembered to put the seat back & wheel up so I can get in. The Resistol stays home tho.
Terry: Yeah, I know what you mean by short legs. I wear a 32 length pants, but have hel* finding a shirt that will stay tucked in. & 'torso' is a word usually preceded by 'dis-membered'

5' 11", 190lbs. fits me well. in my chopper i have about an inch of headroom, but with the sunroof closed (dual sunroofs, so a latch is right over my head), the latch brushes my head.

my blazer and chevy (both stickshift) i move all the way back. my fiero i bring up a few notches to shift comfortably. my auto fiero i can move all the back if i want.

I am 6'4", If I didn't have tilt it would be uncomfortable I am really interested in the way Archie lowered the seats in his last project and am considering this myself.

6'2" 240 LBS. Not a problem, plenty of leg room and with the sunroof, seems like I have lots of headroom.. My biggest problem is getting in and out of the car. The tilt steering definetly helps there.

P.S. Is there any graceful way for a big guy to get out of a Fiero? I try and make sure no one is looking when I get out.

6'2" and 230 lbs. No problem except when my son drives the car and leaves the seat forward and the tilt wheel down. I couldn't get in or out without the tilt wheel and having the seat all the way back.

Tilt the wheel up, place your left hand on the door sill and right hand on the wheel and sorta "roll" out. If your quick about it nobody will notice

BTW I'm 6'0" and about 210. I resemble the short legs comment - my seat is a few notches up for comfort when shifting and I also have a Firebird steering wheel that sits about 2" closer than the factory GT wheel. My only complaint has been the cramped footwell. I only wear a size 11 shoe but I can't drive well with my Doc Martins on because the soles are too wide and bang together when shifting. Other than that, its a good fit

Im 6'2 about 215. My head brushes the roof (no headliner yet), I must have shorter legs and a longer upper body (torso!). I am seriously thinking about driving with no seat. It is easy and comfortable, a little lower to get in/out of, but its worth it.

6'4 1/2" 240 lbs. Tilt wheel normal, (Not all the way up, not all the way down) No sunroof, no t-tops. Seat all the way back, seat back as far back as it will go. In and out is easy. Stand with back facing the car (Door open) Squat and slide butt into seat (Not awkward like it sounds) Twist and slide right foot in, then left foot. Shut door. Getting out? Reverse, left foot out, right foot out, lean forward (Facing outside) and stand up. Shut door, arm security system, head in and grab the wife's personal hygeine items. Get embarrassed at the register, head back to car. Accidently set car alarm off with arms full of feminine products, drop box of Playtex on the ground. People stop and stare.

PS. I DRIVE A CLUTCH!!

I’m 6'1" and 145lbs. Never had a problem of getting in and out of a fiero. Very comfortable and everything’s in reach for me. I sit with the seat back all the way, then reclined back right against the firewall. If I stretch out my head will hit the roof.

I have noticed I seem to have more head room in a non-sunroof car. Maybe because of the headliner design. In sunroof Fieros, my head sometimes hits the side of the roof just under normal driving. I’m glad that I’m not any taller then six one, I fear I would have trouble getting into a fiero otherwise.

Oh and some of you are HUGE! I would probably laugh a little if I saw someone over 6’5” and 200lbs getting in/out of a fiero. Hey its happened to me before and I’m just tall.

Im 6' and the Fiero is more comfortable on long drives than the vette. The seating position is different enough I can feel it after a while. Last year I was having some medical problems in the stomach area (cramps, stabbing pains, not PMS lol) and sometimes the only way they went away was driving the Fiero for a couple of hours. (honest) Something I guess was the perfect position, needed a Fiero seat in living room

I'm 6'6, 215lbs and I fit perfectly in my fiero. I have about an inch of head room. Those little bubbled up parts in the interior on the roof are nice, gives me the perfect fit. I need a new headliner though, it's getting annoying, it always messes up my hair because its saggin now. I drive with my seat back the whole way and I have a tilt wheel but I have plenty of room with it almost down the whole way, maybe like 2 clicks up. It just misses my leg. Its easy to get into and out of too. I don't tilt my steering wheel up at all I just throw my left leg out the door then slide my right out and then just sit up. I love the leg room too. More than any other car I've driven. Everyone up at college is amazed by how much leg room is in my car. Thats why I love it.

6'2", 160lbs. I fit fine, seats not even all the way back (but close, I put both ttops behind the passenger seat, won't fit behind mine!

My head is 1" off the top of the T-top glass... I'd never fit if it weren't for the glass roofs (sunroof or ttop) and tilt wheels.

The Fiero is actually one of, if not THE most comfortable exotic I've driven. And only an e39 525 has bettered it in 'ordinary 'cars.

Best!

6'5", 250 lbs, plenty of room once I'm in, sunroof up or down.
Getting in requires me to wedge my right foot behind the brake pedle, then twist it so my leg will go under the wheel (always tilted right up), swing in the left leg and we're off. Getting out is is a sort of swing come roll.
Good for a laugh tho' when this huge guy gets out of this tiny car !!

6.2 220 and was just wondering if anyone considered removing the seat rails and permanently mount the seats to the floor. The seats in the coupe are the most comfortable seats of any car I have ever rode in.

6'2and 5/8 inches tall, 190 lbs. I fit so comfortable I can only compare it to my first date in high school, sitting in her lap, nudging against her neck, engrossing in the fine Channel #5 perfume....MMM.

To get in tahe Fiero, I go head first, like a new born baby. I arrange it so that my torso never touches the seat until I am centered behind the steering wheel. The advantage going in this way is that my drivers seat NEVER has any tears, not is it worn like most Fieros I'v seen.

I am 6'0 and I wish the seat just had 1 more click in it, that would make it perfect for me I would hate to be the passenger in my car, because I had to have my amp installed behind the seat and the seat is already about 4-5 inches away from the firewall, and dont even think about pushing the seat back, if you cant ride like it is, then walk!
I like going to car washes and watching the guys try and get in and out of the car, especially people that are a little "overweight." You dont know how many times I have heard, "Jesus christ, how do you get in and out of that car?"

Well, I'm 6'0" and around 115 pounds, and I fit pretty well. I have the seat one click from the rearmost, so I can fit my windshield sunshade and my Club behind the seat.

Look at all the giants!
5'6" seat all the way up, but the wheel is in my gut when I try to get out. After driving my beater Blazer for um, forever now, the Fiero's steering column seems a bit low...but I'm very comfy in it.

I fit in the car just fine! lol Then again, never drive the thing. Now on a few occasions (two attempts to learn to drive a manual, and once to help clean the car out) I had to squeeze myself into the drivers side. Its not too bad once you get in...but hence "once you get in" I'm not really fat...just not tinny.....Its rough, lol. Oh its so cute to see Spektrum hop in and out of it, lol
The 'little bird' as I like to call it....is very bumpy...my back is always hurting....and thats probably not helping. You can feel every bump in the road. I guess thats what you get for being in a "sports car" lol jk
