I really like the first one, the second might be a little too umm "sport compact" for my taste Very fancy gadget though, having a control for the scoop and all, you should do it. Mike

I like the basic idea behind the first one, but it would have to be shaped differently to look right on a Fiero. I also think having several small flaps instead of one large one (like your heat/AC vents) would be better as well.
It would be really cool (pun, pun) if you could rig up the servo so it was temperature-controlled... like the oil cooler on the late-model Porsche 911.

The concept is good! Needs to be Fiero specific! I had a 68 Alfa Romeo that the hood latch screwed up on. I just took it off as opposed to paying a silly amount of money for. I opened from the rear like a Fiero. Around 100 mph it wound hover about 3 inches open. Why would you want a servo. Yeah , Stay out of traffic.

Cooling. Look at the hoods Archie makes. (Look at Oreif's hood) Put your hand over Oreifs scoop when he gets to a show.. That thing is pumping hot air out..

Also, on ANY Fiero, when the radiator fan kicks on, run your hand over the headlight opening (lights off) and you'll feel the air being forced out through the headlight opening. That's the only place the air has to go, except back underneath the car. A hood vent is a natural on the Fiero. It should have had one from the factory.

So $110+ shipping from Korea (which at my volume-based FedEx rates would run about $30-$50 depending on weight & declared value). Hmmm... an interesting concept (although I've already invested some money into another hood vent.
Go for it Haze!
