Two words: Fiat X1/9!!!

1981 Fiat X1/9 (first year for fuel injection)

Bought her in '88. Sold her in '90. Most fun I've ever had in a car!

I had 2 X1-9's, a 75 and an 80. The styling was great, the reliability, well let's not go there. The removable roof was a great idea although I could feel more frame-body flex with it removed.

I test-drove one, kept it overnight. I loved it, but it cost way too much. $19,500 loaded.

I used to drive a 1960 Fiat 1100D. 1221cc with 55 bhp and a great 4sp column shift. Makes me appreciate driving my hi-powered Tech4 everyday.

Those are fun little cars. I almost bought one in 1988 when I turned 16...a friend of mine had one (dont recall what year it was), didnt run, but I was gonna fix it. Didnt buy it though..I bought a Fiero(84) instead!
They are cool...I see even fewer of those on the road than I do Fieros.
