I'm looking for one of those Eclipse air intakes like James has on his coupe. Was this some aftermarket part or did it come factory with the '98 Eclipse Turbo? Help! I want one! Thanks in advance Kathy

Well..I suppose I can answer this since it is my car! The intake is an aftermakret intake for a Mitsubushi Eclipse non-turbo and is made by arospeed. It fits OK, but needs to have les of a bend on the intake side. Took some extra imagination to get the plastic wheel well back together. I will post some pictures as soon as I take some.

Thanks, James! Yeah, I forgot your handle on here (how could I? So close to Craigs!). I would sure appreciate those pics when you get them. Does Arospeed have a website? Thanks again for the info.

ARRRGGGH. James, I cant find the part on there. Do they not list a full line of products on the site? Man, this is driving me crazy. Did the unit come with the mounting plate or did you have to build it yourself. Man, hurry up and post those pics, LOL!

All the can and the air seperator and stock intake parts must be removed! Once removed James said you just slide the tube (without the filter on) into the open hole and attatch to engine. Then you have to take off the tire and unbolt fender well to attach filter... Allot to do but man talk about cold air intake! I may just use my Holly scoop after all!
Just a note also... The intake fit well but it was a little off... Not to bad BUT once james gets pics you can make final descisions... I may take the intake to an exhaust shop and have them copy everything but a few bends and make the size correct to fit. That wont be for a while though. Lackin $$ here!
