when you get the GT-1 spoiler on give us some pictures of how it looks, ive been really wanting to see this spoiler on a fiero. i like the APR one on the fast back, that looks bad-ass!
but, I'd just like to point out that if those mods were on any japanese car, a lot of the people on the forum would be screaming RICE.... now since it's ok on one of our own... I guess it's just a bias against imports..
this is just a commentary, I think your fiero looks awesome.
Ewwwwwwwwwwww, just joking.....kinda. I don't like it. But each to their own. It's a little ricey to me, but at least it actually does something, so that doesn't make it rice. This is just my opinion, no flame intended, it's a sweeeeeeeeet ride if you ask me, aside from the wing that is. They just seem to look too out of place to me. Gimme a factory GT spoiler over that any day.
Remember, just my opinion.

I like it. Of course, I prefer no wing, but if I were to put a wing on, that's a very cool option. How is the rearward visibility compared to the stock wing?

Thanks for all the comments. I know its not for everyone but I like it! Actually when I first installed it to the stock holes it hung off the back of the car like 6-8 inches. THAT was tacky, so I moved it up some. New sigline to follow.

Actually since I installed the roll bar my visiblilty went to hell. This wing actually helps because it's taller then the stock wing so you can see under it.

Thanks for posting it! Actually looks different than I had expected- I guess I thought It would sit a little farther back on the decklid... is it adjustable (front/back, up/down, or angle)?
TRiAd... you've got a PM.

MinnGreenGT: When I used the original mounting holes it was about 6-8 inches past the rear facia. I have some pics with the wing hanging off the back of the car if your interested. I didn't like the look of it that way so I moved it forward on the decklid. It has about 1/4 inch of adjustment up and down.

Hi Josh,
I saw the motor. Kick ass! Is that for the coupe of GT? Gonna be nice! And yeah, I know, I've been BAD about the article. The last couple of days have been like this , this and finally this ! I'll try to get it to you tonight.
Looks good chester! I like the looks of the APR wings. Have you thought about trying different shapes of endplates? It looks like they are removable and it would be cool to try different shapes, maybe test some out in cardboard to see how they would look.
Could even try some photo editing on them, I have a couple ideas, if I get time I'll try them out and post em.

That is what was thinking of... and you're definitely right- that's a little too far back! Thanks again for the pics!
I was going to look into getting this wing for mine also. In my opinion, looking at the two placements in which you have/had the wing installed, I feel that it would look best somewhere in the middle. I think you have it too far forward, it should hang alittle over the trunk lid. I mean, thats where I plan to put mine if I decide to get one. How hard was it to install, did you have to modify the mounting brackets? Is it heavier then the factory spoiler, will the trunk stay open by itself? Are you going to paint it? I can't decide if it would look good painted purple to match my car, stay aluminum, or black.

Lets see, where to start. If you look at it its pretty close to being in the same location as stock. I didn't want to drill 4 new holes in the decklid just yet and couldn't stand it all the way back. The install is easy - 4 bolts. The only thing is that on the GT it barely fits between the hump on the decklid. The mounting brackets I made myself (which I'm not done with just yet). I would say that it is a little heavier then stock. My trunk stays up fine but then I have a gas strut. I actually like it the way it is so I don't intend on painting it. I might try different end caps like was mentioned earlier.
Ummm, you got me alittle confused. You say you are making mounting brackets? The wing didn't come with these? Also, where did you get the wing and how much was it? Thanks.

I am a little confused as well. In one post you state that you tried it in the factory location and it was too far back. In another post you also mention you did not want to drill any new holes in the decklid.
Is this wing using the original factory mounting holes?

Hmmm, Well lets see if I can fix that. What I meant to say is that I used the two forward most mounting holes and drilled 2 holes instead of 4. That way I only have 2 holes to patch right now . I bought the wing from a forum member and it looks like he made his own mounting brackets out of angle aluminum. Too bad they were drilled for a notchback. Sooooo, I got some angle aluminum, some more shop tools (good excuse) and proceeded to fabricate my own. I tried to make it so that I could use all 4 existing decklid holes but it made it hang too far off the back of the car, hence my moving it forward. Clear as mud??

Thanks! I don't have any shots from behind yet. I've been procrastinating in putting my battery back in the car so I can move it. Its currently too close to the garage to get a rear shot but I'll try to get it done and posted later this afternoon.
