Parts Required -

-Any 3 button light console - $3cdn from the local scrap yard
-One key ring garage door opener - $15-30cdn from Home depot
-some odds and ends.

All you have to do is wire the 12v power source from your car to the battery terminals of the key ring remote, and wire the middle button on the console to the switch on the remote and wire the the led. Glue in place, and drill a hole for the led. and tada!
Total mod time = 20mins
Effective Range = over 50feet

I plan on lighting the switch with a little garage door symbol. If anyone wants better instructions, pictures etc.. let me know.

oh yea..

To test the unit, drive your car within 50feet of your garage and press the button, the led will light up and your garage will open (providing you have an electric door), then press the button a second time and the led will go off.

Enjoy.

Excellent idea. I always hide my garage door opener when its in the car. This is the perfect way to do it. I may just do this after i finish the other 20 things on my "to do" list.
Great work

My car doesn't have a rear window defogger so I picked up a switch panel from one that does and wired in my door opener. (run on sentence or what).

Hey, thats a great idea and Ill probably do that sometime down the road myself and I already used the rear defogger for my driving lites and Im trading off my domelite with a power amp switch for another one so ill probably have the chance to do it before I put it in the car when I get it this week and send mine back to the other guy so wish me luck too and this is reallllllly a run on sentence, lmao (whew)
