I second this. I really can't stand it when a car makes just as much noise as the speakers inside it because it's license plate is flapping against the back end. I have had a few people say things like "your car doesn't rattle because you don't have enough power." The fact of the matter is that I really enjoy the challenge of putting a good sounding stereo in the small cabin of the Fiero and the benefits of not having problems like BlackStang with having the trunk resonate with the bass.
As an answer to your question:
1) Get a Fiero (you know you want one) 
2) Do something to isolate the sound to the cabin of the car. I did this sort of thing once in a Monte Carlo by building a false wall in the trunk that sealed the speakers off from the rest of the trunk. It really didn't help much but I have seen it done better than I did.
3) Change the resonant frequency of the trunk lid (and or other vibrating parts) with dynamat or something similar.
4) Turn down the volume.
