For who-knows-how-long, I've had to suffer through Fiero-related message boards where maybe one or two people would post something in a day, or message boards dedicated to other cars that just happened to have a couple Fiero nuts in them. BUT NOT ANY MORE!!!
Someone who visited my website ( Tweaktech ) just happened to be a fellow Fiero owner and gave me the link to this message board. Oh, what great fortune!
For better or worse, y'all are gonna be seeing a lot of me from now on.

Lemme be the first (at 2:30am) to welcome you to the forum!
I've been here for a few months... been watching for 9 months and went from a drooling inconvertible import junky, to... an Fiero fanatic. I thought life was over after I crashed my '95 300Z. But its SO much better now.

Whats totally ironic about this, is that he was talking about how many posts this boards gets ..
So what happens, one guy posts on the board and thinks hes the first to reply, only to find out that while he was typing his message someone already beat him to it!.. Gotta love PFF

Heh-heh, are you sure you want my car? It's a 1987 SE with 4-banger and auto tranny with 155K miles, front collision damage, kaput headlamp motors, bad paint, and an oil leak. Oh, and for some reason I keep thinking it's a sport utility vehicle.

Welcome to PFF, glad you could make it!!
You gotta tell them about your gaming station.. I was laughing my a$$ off when I saw it, that thing is sweet... hehe
Yes, welcome! And indeed, your gaming chair is very sweet indeed. I was planning on building something similar but ended up with making something that snapped on to an existing chair.
Oh, BTW it was DaRkLoRD that gave me the link to this forum. A very emphatic "THANK YOU" to DaRkLoRD.
Ya know, I didn't even think to mention the gaming chair. DOH!
Since I'm new to the forum, allow me to provide a little back story about myself. I'll try not to write a novel.
Back in 1996 I was driving a Ford Tempo. Don't laugh, it's true. That year, the oil pump in the Tempo went kaput and caused the engine to sieze up. I really hated the Tempo, so I didn't want to sink a couple grand into a new engine. Instead, I started looking for another car.
I decided I wanted something sporty, and have always been fond of mid-engine cars. One day, while walking to work from the bus stop (I rode the bus for about a month whilst looking for another car) I noticed a maroon Fiero GT in a parking garage, and I started drooling uncontrollably. Until then, I wasn't very familiar with Fieros, just the trash-talk you always hear about them. But when I saw that Fiero in the parking garage, I just knew I had found my perfect car.
A couple weeks later I bought a black 1986 coupe (with Isuzu 5-spd) from a used car lot for $900 cash. I treated that car like it was the end-all be-all of automobiles. I kept a very rigorous maintainance schedule, and gave it all the best parts I could afford. This is the car that will eventually be known as Black Sunshine.
In the fall of 1999 I did a head/ring job on the car. The valve seals were obviously worn out (little puffs of oil smoke on take-off) and when I pulled the head I found that the rings were in need of replacement also (the top compression ring on cylinder#1 was broken in half). In my haste to get everything put back together and running, I forgot to lube the rod bearings. I started it up and it purred like a kitten... for about 30 seconds.
Then the engine siezed. I almost cried.
So instead of salvaging the 4-banger I decided to drop a V6 in it. I always wanted the V6 and this gave me the perfect reason to acquire one.
While I was trying to locate a V6, I bought another Fiero (1987 SE with 4-banger and auto tranny) for daily transportation. I got it for $600 cash from a Central Florida Fiero Club member. It had front collision damage, but nothing serious. I swapped out the front bumper and got a front fascia from a 1988 GT (once again from a CFFC member) for $60.
After some time (spring of 2000), I was able to get a 2.8 V6 from... you guessed it... another CFFC member. I actually got to see the engine run before he pulled it from his 1986 GT. He sold the long block to me for $150.
And then, all the sudden everything came to a screeching halt. No, I didn't fall upon any misfortune. But for some reason I just lost the will to finish the project. The poor black coupe has been sitting, almost untouched, for over a year now. I have drawn up complete and very detailed plans of what the finished car will be like, even made a parts list of everything I'll need for the project.
I think all the computer tweaking I've done over the last year or so might have something to do with it.
You guys and gals have a purpose, even though you may not be aware of it. To be honest, you all won't need to much at all. I think that frequenting this fine forum will give me the will, the means, and the support I'll need to transform my very first Fiero into Black Sunshine, the Mustang killer.
With that stereo you have in there, can you move the seat all the way back? what are the dimensions of the box? Did you have to cut out the firewall.. I have 2 JL w 10" that i had in my old car that I want to put in my fiero, Ive seen many setups, but if your seats go all the way back, or almost all the way back, yours would be the only one i have liked.
