Keep in mind that is only about $175US when converted. Does not sound too bad.

Notice that I put "USD" after the price? RSM lists prices in both Canadian & US Dollars (look at the link provided above): "$399.99 or $US279.99"

If I remember from the last time this headlight mod came up it was found to be highly illegal in most states.

As I do recall, someone had done that same type of coversion but used "Camaro" headlights as in the non pop-up conversion. I think those might be kind of call and they are standard headlights so they would be totally legal. I'm sure someone has the link.

3" Drop, 17" Primax 618s/Nitto540 205/40, 4" Monza exhaust, Mudstain decklid scoop, 7" wing stands, Clear front and rear lights, custom interior, all options...that's all hehe.

I happen to know a thing or two about headlights and conversions.
No camaro lights wont fit the standard opening. They are too wide.
No you cant use a DOT legal light(like a camaro) and expect it to be legal. It was approved but not for you modified application so it is no longer approved.
I was going to do a slim pop up with the lights I use for my kits but I dont have any motors or stuff left laying around any more.

I don't like the pop ups at all... I really want a style like Tom's but glassed onto the hood & a clear cover on them.. But I thought I would try something new with the 1/2 up thingy first...

I believe that was Lawrence's car...wasn't it? And yeah, that looks nicer than the funky oval foglamps.

I just bought a set of Tom's headlights from Smoooth and I'm having a set of clear plexiglass covers made (before I complete the installation). Also, I cut and installed a light diffuser lens in the bottom of the tray- it really changes the look quite a bit, but not the functionality of them. I'll post pics as soon as it's installed & complete.
