Yes

A Ferrari's exhaust system is a specially designed and tuned instrument, every part is integral to the functioning of the whole.
I am trying to get as close as I can with the northstar engine (90degree crank, 4-valve V8) to an F355's posessed divine banshee wail! (180degree crank, 5-valve smaller-displacement V8.) We shal see how close I get.
I haven't yet decided on the mufflers I will use yet, however I will be using twin (and *UN* connected dual throught) stainless catalysts. Therefore the muffler will likely be fairly minimal (I like valve/intake noise accopmanied in proportion to exhaust noise though, so non-mufflers and the louder flowmasters won't do.
I am considering a SpinTech muffler. I like it's lack of specific self-resonance points (the engine should be doing the resonating, I want NO booming!)
I am also thinking seriously about buying a 355's exhaust from a ferrari club member who is upgrading to a Tubi system (wish I could afford one of those!!! oh BABY! I'm keeping my eye out for a used Tubi maybe off a 308/328 too.)
Hrm, not a terribly informative post. "I am working on it" though, feel free to email/PM me and we'll talk more :0)
Best!
Ben.
