2M6 was never a model designation, it was just an additional set of numbers/letters (Like 2.8 MFI on the bumper of 80's Camaros). The 6 cylinders were made from 85-88 but I think Pontiac stopped labeling them 2M6 in 86.

PS. 2M6 means 2 seater, Mid-engined, 6 cylinder.

For the number of 5-speeds, does that number just count the Getrags, or are Isuzu 5-spds included in that count too?

Thx,
KV

do you know if any Fiero's were made with power steering or was it an option or provided in kit form. Those are very useful numbers. Now I know there are Fiero's for sale somewhere...88, auto tranny, V6

There were no Fieros sold with the electric powering steering. Pontiac didnt come out with it in time. I'm sure the info to do it is out there somewhere..

Some time back i remember reading a post and the guy was talking about his fiero having power steering. Im sure its not anything that got away from GM, its prob a conversion or something, check the search for power steering you may find more info.
