There's a slotcar track and shop near my house, and I love to go up there on weekends and watch them race. I had been thinking about getting into drag racing, and now I have an excuse! Check it out at www.slotcar.com they have a Fiero body in 1/25 to fit a Pro/Mod chassis. Imagine your own Fiero drag car complete with wheelie bars and your name across the side! I'm gettin' it!

I priced it-the body is $5.50, but you could build a killer car on this chassis to run in the mid-.6's for about $185. To give you an idea of how fast these cars are, the strip is about 20 feet long, and these things can go from 0-100 (actual, not scale) miles per hour in less than a second! The world record is .426 seconds, and that's a professional gunner with a $500 car. Trust me, this stuff is cool. I reccomend it!
That's pretty cool. I can't say I'm really into slotcar racing, but it's great to see they have fieros available. When you get yours done, make sure you post a pic.

PLEASE get me a (or a few) Fiero drag bodies.. I'm big time onto 1/24 - 1/25 Drag racing. I had a Fiero, but before I could build it, it grew feet and walked away. I've been looking for another one for 2 years now. Please email me if you can get me it (or a few) Ill be HAPPY to send out a money order.
Just a little slot car talk... My fastest run is .432 @ 119 MPH (Vette Body) Wire chassis - open motor..ect. I also have a '66 Chevelle (Hard Body) It was on the cover of Slot Car Mag. Dupont Black with Dupont Color change Purpletine flames.
OK back to the Fiero... Email me & we can talk about it. Fiero@CarCollector.net
Thanks -Haze (Carl)

hey Haze-You can order off the site I believe... I'll see if the shop can get em sans shipping and maybe send you one a little cheaper. Maybe a group purchase? I was probably gonna do mine to match my real Fiero-only with a 12' scale wheelie bar

what motor and frame type are used now in the drag cars?any pic's? i was into slots in the 60's little cans with silver wires and arco magnets and silicone wheels on heavy brass frames for roadrace tracks in a can-am lola 70 body. back then the drag cars used pitman motors that were big and heavy in rail type cars.

Haze, haven't had a chance to get by the shop, going by tomorrow night. I don't have any pics, and none on the site. Ray B, most pro stock cars are running cee can motors and really light soldered brass skeleton frames with wheelie bars. I've seen some cars that weigh less than 6 ounces with a titanium cee can.

Just spoke with Brenda from DRS. (Take the country code off and the phone rings right to them ... Phone number is 972-881-0209) She has been out of state (in Maine) for a wedding, but is back now and filling orders. Haze - you were mentioned specifically, and your order will be filled soon.

Wow! Looks pretty good. I'm getting my chassis next weekend and 2 bodies at the same time. Maybe someone should tell IRM that Fiero engines are in the back, tho .
