I've recently heard that there was an option in 87 or 88 called the le500 which was basically an SE with GT options, any info on this?

??? Someone is pulling your chain.....I have never heard of this. Besides, there was no SE model in '88.

An '86 or '87 SE could be had with every option that the GT had, just with the notchback body. There was nothing special about this.....no "le500" codes or anything.
