I can't find a set of brushes to clean my block, crank, etc. All the local places don't carry anything like 'em, and I don't know where to look next. Anyone know where I can find these?

Drew, try Wal-Mart and Meijer - they usually have a three pack - metal, brass and nylon bristles (if that is what you are asking about...)

I'm going to be using them just prior to assembly, so they have to be softer than metal. I'm looking for sizes to clean lifter bores, passages, cylinder walls, etc. I drop the block off next week for machine work, should take 7-10 days I was told, so I have some time. I'm sending you an e-mail in a few minutes about a tranny item Terry.

I can't be the only person who remembers the brushes. Have people stopped cleaning their block once they receive it from the machine shop? If I have to, I'm going to go out and buy different sized toilet cleaning brushes.

I used a nylon brush that is made to clean the back of a frig. I bought it at ace hardware. The brush is long, and tapper. It cleans the manifold passages with ease. If your looking for something smaller than you can by the test tube brushes sold at fisher scientific. Hope this helped.
